Are you sure this is one of the Levantine natives? I would expect them to score identically to other Rum Christians in Syria, Palestine and Lebanon, (who also score very similarly to Maronites). If it is I would be seriously surprised, because the Ghassanids were not the largest population in the region, and they most likely assimilated into the larger population in the Levant.

If I'm not mistaken, StonyArabia said that there were Bedouins who were members of the Greek Orthodox and Meklite Catholic churches living in Jordan and the surrounding areas. Could it be an individual of that communtiy perhaps?
