Is it easy to distinguish between Afghan Tajiks and Pashtuns?

Tajikistani Tajiks seem to have very high steppe levels so it would be no surprise if they looked different from Pashtuns, but the ones in Afghanistan are said to be more homogeneous. Of course those close to the Iranian border would be Persian like, so maybe those further south are more Pashtun like.
