According to the studies of the Spanish anthropologist Hoyos Sanchez the region of Tierra de Campos (Castilla-Léon) has the lowest incidence of blondism recorded in the whole Iberian Peninsula with less than 5% of blond & light brown hair.

While there's a common myth in the anthrofora based on some unscientific internet maps that the northern the region in Iberia the higher percentage of light types, the actual data does not indicate that - particularly in the Spanish case, where some of the regions with lowest incidence of blondism are precisely in some northern regions such as Castilla-Leon and Catalonia.

This is visible in group pictures, I gathered pictures of amateur teams (less likely to contain non-natives) from the Valladolid area (a rather northern city in the heart of Castilla Léon/Tierra de Campos) and it's noticeable that blond types are almost absent.

For comparison, I gathered pics of amateur teams from the Porto region in northern Portugal wich is more or less at the same latitude.

Why this lack of blondism phenomenon in some northern regions seems to be specific of Spain ? Discuss.

Light brown hair and blondism are more common among the specimens in the Porto sample. As to skin complexion it seems to be about the same, however Fitzpatrick’s types I/II are more prevalent in Porto. Nothing I didn’t expect. Only in certain cristianos nuevos delusions it is otherwise.

It's funny that precisely someone from the region of the whole Iberian Peninsula with the lowest incidence of blondism became known as the biggest pigmentational troll freak on the Athrotardsphere...or perhaps exactly because of that, a childish defence mechanism.

What? Now the usual suspects say nothing ?

There is overlap, but the Spaniards look more Med.

An example that latitude isn't everything.

I am neighbour of Andalusia and I go there often (as I know whole of Spain) , blondism incidence is visibly higher than in Tierra de Campos (Castilla-Leon), all over Portugal the incidence is also visibly higher (in some micro-regions much higher, just as serious professional anthropologist studies reflect). But it's fascinating to see why some regions in northern Spain have the lowest proportions of blondism (Catalonia is the 2nd darkest, contrary to what Australian Italic Rooters theorize) and are so homogeneously dark haired (dark brown and black haired). Why are Valladolidans so homogeneously dark ?:dunno:

It would be great that some people understand that not everything is related to directions - north & south, east & west and such stuff.
The European continent has complex genetics and while sometimes certain tendencies can be found they are not universally strict.
Furthermore, just because two regions/countries share similar latitude or a border between them, this doesn't mean they necessarily have a similar genetic and/or phenotypical structure.

Shit I can even post group pics of Olhão (the most low life mitra fishermen city in Portugal) and from Nazaré (the most assimilated gypsy tourist trap in Portugal) and they have a higher rate of blondism than Valladolid...how is that possible according to Visage Brune and Cristiano Nuevo inferiority complexed trollish theories ?!
