Believe it or not that guy is a gipsy.

On wiki it's said that his mother is of partial gypsy ancestry, so he's mostly East-Slav it seems.

Strong slavic vibes, but he has obviously bunch of German (or whatever Western stuff he has), Balkan and other things in him. Too western looking for an ordinary Russian.

He looks like any Eastern European with Northern/ Western (i assume he's partly German) and Mediterranean roots. Just a little bit more on the West Asian side here, not that far away from Marat Safin look indeed.

No need to make up ideas about some foreign descent of Eugene, he looks a lot similar to Hutsuls of western Ukraine, they tend to be balkanic-shifted compared to other East-Slavs, we don't know for shrue yet why, there are two main theories:

1. They mixed immidietly after slavic expansion.

2. It's a result of vlach migration in medieval times.
