They can have exotic looking due to geographical reasons. Anatolia and Southern Europe are way hotter than Northern countries so people are able to tan easily for example.

Well... These regions have coastal areas of Mediterranean. South Mediterranean (also MENA) people are pretty close to these countries and we know that there were strong relationships between Greeks and Egyptians, Italians and Lebanese in past. Oriental features probably come from there but i don’t want to say that they mixed with “Arabs”. It might be better to say “Berbers”.

Yes, French people of Algerian descent may look Oriental, Moroccan immigrants descendants, etc... They called in a vulgar term "bougnoules" Definitely not those of Western and Central European descent. Other Southern Europeans in a minority may look or may be confused as Oriental, but when you look real close, they don't.

To me, Turks are already Oriental-looking. The French and Southern Europeans as a whole are not. This is why many Orientalid-looking immigrants in France and rest of Southern Europe still suffer from racial discrimination as they are usually easily recognized ( especially in France though). Only a minority which can pass as Europeans are spared. I guess those could be the assimilated minority you might be referring to.

Both Turks (with or without Southern European admixture) and Southern Europeans (with or without Arab admixture) have facial features that strike as Oriental/Arab, however, I've never seen an French person that looks like that in Canada, maybe they exist in France but it's rare I think.

1) Most Quebecois do not look like that, so you're already cherry picking. Secondly, the majority of Quebecois colonists were from the most northern areas of the country including Normandy where people look different than most of the west and southern France. In addition to this French Canadians mixed with Anglos/Irish and Native Americans, and to this day you can find many who look somewhat Mestizo or more Anglo than the typical Northern French person. So, they're not a good representative of French people at all.
