The call by some right wing leaders for rebellion and for the military to refuse the commander in chief’s orders is joined by Chuck Norris who claims that thousands of right wing cell groups have organized and are ready for a second American Revolution. During an appearance on the Glen Beck radio show he promised that if things get any worse from his point of view he may “run for president of Texas.” The martial artist/actor/activist claims that Texas was never formally a part of the United States in the first place and that if rebellion is to come through secession Texas would lead the way.

If Texas can become free from socialist America, I'm packin bags.

I saw that interview on the Glenn Beck show and again he said that Ron Paul is the only honest man in the federal government.

It's tempting, but I'm afraid that if Texas left the union it would become part of Mexico before long.

But who else could get publicity for this sort of thing? Our nationally recognised figures are either politicians or media celebrities. All other roles have been shunted aside. The politicos are obviously all on the take and PART OF the problem, so it's left to those few patriots in the media to do something to change social opinion. People active locally, at the grass roots, can easily get ignored in the present age of controlled information.

Or are you suggesting he was put up to it by the ruling elite?!?

I'm suggesting that he's a fucking actor, and probably a dumbass.

Just a generalization, though....

He did support Dr. No.... Though. So props for him on that regard.

I've never seen any of his films, but I gather they're pretty cheesy. So what though - he's a man doing a job like any other, like me and thee. I purport to have views on the state of the society I live in, and yet my profession is just as inconsequential as his in the grand scheme of things. Just whose opinion IS worth listening to, anyway?

Norris at least has the balls to come out and say something that's on a lot of normal decent people's minds. I'm glad he uses his high profile for such ends - he could otherwise be adopting African orphans or the like! All power to him! :thumb001:

What film is this? I'm bound not to have seen it, mind! :tongue

Sadly I agree with this. The citizens will listen to an actor before they listen to the normal Joe..

This Chuck fellow is a halfbreed..Cherokee and some type(s?) of white..therefore, I would treat his discussion of right wing groups with a healthy dollop of suspicion.LOL, before anybody asks me to confirm my pedigree to confirm that I have a right to say what I just did..be warned.. I ENJOY genealogy and would be perfectly happy to take folks on a tour of mine..who doesn't like discussing themselves?? :D

If what I say horrifies you or seems pretty stupid, put it down to the fact that I don't really know Indians as you do. BUT! If Norris is the best you've got to stand up for your basic freedoms, then why spit on him so?

There was another post on here a bit ago, about another half Indian who was speaking out for 'Nativist' rights or whatever you want to call it. He's a Classical Music composer or something, I forget which thread it is, but it's easily found, I suppose. Why shouldn't such people be as horrified by the prospect of Mexification as yourselves? Why spurn their overtures of assistance?

Call me a romantic, maybe I've read too much Fennimore Cooper for my own good, but I don't think Cherokee halfbreeds who speak up about present problems are your main concern.

On Wikipedia, which you can never trust, it says he is Cherokee and Irish.

I wasn't horrified by your post, nor did I think it stupid, I assure you. :) I quite enjoyed the link, truth be told, but although my wife is a proud Texan (and she's still peacocking it about that article, lol) I am no Texan myself. I will say that such people might have a bit more to fear from Mexification than we do,as their Europid and Amerind heritage sharply differ from the Amerinds of Central and South America. As long as they're willing to help us, I will roll out the red carpet ( no pun intended) and thank them with the deepest gratitude.I simply wouldn't want to move down to Texas, but if the right wing groups are spreading as rapidly as all that, I'd go first to the mountains of Tennessee (if migration to Europe itself was impossible) and join a cell there. The more help we've got, the better, from half-breeds or not.

If you move to the mountains of Tennessee I'll have to give ya a wee tour eh? I grew up in the Western Central Appalachian range, it goes into Middle TN. Overton Co.

I wouldn't reckomend moving to my hometown Livingston lol there's quite a poor job market, it's sort of "behind", nearest Walmart was an hour abouts away lol. and the largest business is the lettuce processing plant(used to be Berkline Furniture) and the sawmills. Livingston is beautiful, but not wise for someone looking for a steady income, I'm not even moving back there when I go back down, I'm going to Knoxville lol.

Where I lived was literally the Highlands:

The Highlands of Tennessee region (Overton, Putnam, and White Counties and their cities) has a slogan that invites business and industry to "Come On Up."

Chuck Norris is NOT the best person to be giving these movements such credence.....He has been remarkably active in politics lately. He wrote a popular book about it- "Black Belt Patriotism: How to Reawaken America". [What "re-awaken" means I do not know].

This Chuck fellow is a halfbreed..Cherokee and some type(s?) of white..therefore, I would treat his discussion of right wing groups with a healthy dollop of suspicion. It's oft-quoted that he's "1/8th Cherokee", but I suspect it may be less than that.

A small investigation to ascertain Chuck Norris' AmericanIndian blood :
1.) Photo of His mother's parents (http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/3517/317porteraggieweddingda.jpg)-- the man in that photo was blue-eyed according to this (http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=14x24&id=I0029), the woman is very light skinned; there is clearly no recent AmericanIndian ancestry on this side.
2.) Photo of His mother Wilma and father Ray (http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/3020/3171940raywilmacarlosra.jpg) with baby Chuck in 1941. The father, Ray Norris, is clearly part Indian. But how much? --
3.) Ray Norris' father's ancestors were not evicted by the Cherokee Removal under Jackson [Ray Norris' father was born (http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=14x24&id=I0001) in TN in 1855, 17 years after all members of the Cherokee Nation were expelled], meaning Ray had no recent AmericanIndian ancestry on his father's side.
4.) Ray Norris' mother is the origin of Chuck Norris' AmericanIndian blood, by process of elimination. Scant information (http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=14x24&id=I0001) exists on the ancestry of Ella May Tinker (Ray Norris' mother), though it can be said for sure that the father was probably full-white, since his pedigree extends back to colonial Virginia.
5.) If Ella May's mother, whom we know nothing about other than year-of-birth/place-of-birth, was "full-blooded" Cherokee, this would make Ray half, and Chuck Norris 1/8th. This is feasible, since she was born in 1842 [post-IndianRemoval] west of the Mississippi, in the state of Missouri. (Did any expelled Cherokee end up in MO? I know they passed through it, and the Removal Act just forced them west of the Mississippi, not necessarily to OK). Since many Cherokee at the time of Jackson's Removal were not full-blooded anymore, we can conjecture that she may have been 3/4s or even a little less, making Chuck Norris a little less than 10% American-Indian, racially.

This is some kind of joke. He's on a ego trip, outside of the 900 million pledged to Hamas which is controlled by Is-ra-el, he's not stating what is getting 'worse' it's just hot air.

We're under a soft to medium dictatorship here in the United States officially since the passage of the 'Civil Rights Act' where we are not openly allowed to choose our neighbors ( crime against nature ) and erodes our ability to procreate with our own kind, and the list goes on and on.

Where's his head at?

He's against foreign trade but where is his Total Gym made? http://www.totalgymdirect.com/total-gym-top-10.php of his 'ten top reasons' not one states that it's American made by true Americans. joke.

If they rebell and try to take Texas out of the control of the Federal Government they will be crushed, the guys a joke so is Glenn Beck.
