I tried and waited.... and suddenly it accepted one of my two samples (don't know which one) ... but It never said "DONE" .. it also stuck like you said and never completed.
Poles say: When Cossacks would invade a village, they would murder everything that moves, even cats and dogs, they would took their spoils then they would burn everything down to ashes.
Now mix that with Eastern Roman Byzantine Culture and you get: Western Balkan people, a people always ready to star wars and commit genocides.
Scythians + Greeks + Germans mix = a people from hell

Why are some of the dots blue and some red?
From the FAQ:
"Blue dots link to a clearly defined set of ancient peoples. Red dots refer to ancient samples where identity is difficult to determine based on archaelogical evidence.
Faded dots mean distant connection, brighter dots mean very close DNA distance to you"

Me and my father are the same. Only, instead of Romano-Gaul we get Ancient Greek. We both get Illyrian samples but not the closest. Closest to the early middle ages Central Romans(I assume Tuscany?).
Thats interesting, I also get Central Italian as my closest match

I see you're a LOTR fan. If I had to correlate the races to middle earth, I would say Romans are the Elves, Gondorians the Greeks, and Scythians(being horselords) as Rohan. You're a Rohirim Elvish mix lol. I guess that makes me Elvish-Gondorian. If only that came with the abilities of the Dunedin or however its spelled.

It's similar to what I get on the G25 though and it does appear to have some samples not in the G25. :) It does match you up with your closest ancestral populations. It is alright if you don't have to pay. What I would say though is some people on here aren't getting very close matches so some areas are a bit hit and miss with the samples.
Someone run some low-coverage samples previously through Gedmatch and noted results in spreadsheet. I guess K15 because of modern oracle distances...
Then you were compared using single distances to this spreadsheet. In G25 you have only samples with high genotype rate. That the reason some "additional" samples are here.

Dio Cassius would say, "let us not forget that Trajan was a true-born Thracian.
The fights between Trajan and Decebalus were fratricidal wars, and the Thracians were Dacians."
Trajan was Born in SPAIN!!!
Also our Scythian + Roman mix means that Scythian (Slavic) Mass Immigration actually happened in certain degree.
But Paternally I think Thracians were I2 people mostly while Greeks and Romans ended with J2, E1b

No, but I don't believe there are any Caananite samples. And while there is no Semite, that one spot on the edge at the intersection of Turkey and Iran is firmly Middle Eastern, as is the Hittite sample.
Keep in mind that this is based on autosomal distance, based on which Ashkenazi Jews are close neither to ancient Levantines nor Poles but rather cluster firmly with South Italians, as the website show.

Hellenic Romans, Romans and Ostrogoths( based on Greek origin Crimea Ostrogoth sample). I cannot upload it now because it has expired but I remember I also had matches the Mycenean Greeks, the Illyrian and the Scythian 270 BC. I think its also because Illyrians/Thracians were a little more south-west shifted. At least the samples discovered so far. Illyrians come out like Spanish/North Italian like. Its exactly these 2 scoring closer, I imagine all our results would change as the database grows and they average out each sample group.

I know, North Germanic to be specific. But theres probably some sort of slight slavic element in Longobards.
25% Polish should influence one of them, and it's not Vikings.
So that might be the reason im drawn more towards Longobards rather than vikings.

I know, North Germanic to be specific. But theres probably some sort of slight slavic element in Longobards.
25% Polish should influence one of them, and it's not Vikings.
So that might be the reason im drawn more towards Longobards rather than vikings.
I doubt it. I've seen many people of bascially 100% north western European get longobards. I myself get a pretty close distance between them and the Frank's. On two different DNA tests I've either gotten 0% or 1% eastern European.

According to religious texts:
"In chapter 40 of his Germania, Roman historian Tacitus, discussing the Suebian tribes of Germania, writes that the Lombards were one of the Suebian tribes united in worship of the deity Nerthus"

Suebi, are like borderline western slavs, if i remember correctly.

Yes, there were. So much for Jerusalem.

Yes, I’m honorary German or Northern French with my combo. This is the hand life has dealt me. The weird part is that I come closer to medieval Franks than any modern population on this calculator.

The Gauls were Celtic tribes who lived predominantly in eastern and southern France. They had a complex political system involving clans run by a council of elders. A king would have much of their powers held in check by the council. Gaul tended to be politically divided and only during dangerous times such as the invasion by Julius Caesar, could the Gauls unite under a single leader like Vercingetorix. After the Roman conquest of Gaul, the land was split into provinces and people divided into 3 groups - the Belgae (the bravest and furthest from civilization), the Galli/Celts, and the Aquitani towards Spain.
Gauls practiced animism and worshopped animals. Druids presided over human or animal sacrifices in wooded groves or crude temples. The druids were key to preserving festivals and the lunar-solar calendar. Gauls would nail heads of enemies to walls or dangle them from the necks of horses to instill fear.

Well if you combined all humans on Earth and forced them to be members of a single nation called "Earthlings"
Trust me, they would all receive 1. Earthling on gedmatch results.
Serbs are orthodox slavic people, and that designation means nothing in historical context where you try to uncover your ancient ancestry.
Also Serbs became a Nation 1050 A.D. before that they didn't even exist.

But yeah thanks for showing! I do find it interesting that Greek Islanders I guess do in fact have different ancient origins than the Greeks on the mainland. Other than dosas (who is half Pontic Greek), I'm the only Greek who has no Illyrian and/or Scythian ancestry and instead have Roman/Greek/Hitite/Minoan. Hmmm
And thanks for showing me your map, because my buddy is a quarter Chinese and it was showing his ancestry as having no Viking even though his dad is Danish which I found strange. But we can maybe blame the weird mix for the different results.
