You can model this guy as a mix of Northeast Balkanite and West Asian/MENA. I wonder if he's typical for Greeks.

No no no. He is an extremely north-shifted Greek. Maybe Ukrainian-Greek.

Pontic Greeks have very high East Med %. This guy has one of the lowest East Meds I've seen. Are you sure he's Greek?

As reference, my family is from Samos and my East Med is 30+

Macedonian, Thracian or even Vlach. Not so surprised by his/her results, they look genuine for a Northern Greek
Also keep in mind that Eurogenes lack samples from many Balkan populations so you will get distorted results

I can take myself as an example of Thracian Bulgarians except for my EE admixture. When i compare myself with this guy i see he has more Baltic admixture than me. Med distribution is similar and in Bulgarian range. S/he has slightly more West Asian, probably more North Atlantic(still not as much as Northern Greeks, in Bulgarian range, if we look his/her Atlantic score. Northern Greeks score more than 13 in K15.) So yes evaluation goes like that but my conclusion is s/he is from Eastern Macedonia, specifically Drama or Serres. I need to see his/her K13 in order to make an ethnicity guess. I could say s/he is ethnic Bulgarian converted to Greek with these results but it wouldn't be much reliable. The main reason why i think like that although s/he is northern shifted, his/her admixture proportions not represent Northern Greeks but it is more like Slavic shift with this Baltic/Atlantic ratio.


Can you post Eurogenes K13, PuntDNAL K15, MDLP K23b, Eurogenes K36? Also, would you mind to give me the kit number? So i can check if i matched with him/her.
