This guy looks very odd for Italy looks more Northwestern European I would say he looks very Brunnish has a very strong CM component definitely the type that would be good for a sport such as rugby.

Cave man. Some sort of Cro-Magnon but I'm not sure which.

He looks Brunnish or Paleo Atlantid sort of like an Irish or Welsh individual. Some other pictures that I saw of him on the web still show the strong CM influences but he looked to have some Med/Aplinid admixture quite possibly. I would go with just CM in his case though based on the majority of pictures.

He's atypical but he looks by no means odd especially in Northern Italy. He only looks odd compared to the stereotype of Italian the Americans have (Southern Italian). I think he's a robust Alpinid CM.

I agree, he fits in well with some of his teammates.

That's because in Italy rugby, unlike football (aka soccer), is a very Northern Italian thing, in particular Veneto and the North-East have a long tradition in this sport. I think that only Abruzzo has a rugby culture in peninsular Italy.

I have to agree but he is a rather robust specimen he could pass as Northern Italian now that I see him again or even French.

Martin Castrogiovanni was born in Argentina and his surname is quite likely to have a Sicilian origin (although there are many Northern Italian Argies too). He's probably some kind of mix, I don't know what he is exactly.

Most Argentinian Italians are of Northern Italian descent I suppose if he has some ancestry from Sicily he could be classified as Berid quite possibly.

My thoughts too.

My thoughts too.

I was thinking he deserved to be displayed at a Museum giving how unique he looked for the region he comes from. I thought he might have been a pseudo Northwestern Cro Magnon type that cropped up in the Italian population. He looks similar in someways morphologically and in his expression to John Rhys Davies the Welshman.

This guy I wouldn't immediately recognize as Southern European to be honest.

On the other hand Castrogiovanni might even be a very odd (in this case this word wouldn't be misplaced) Sicilian. After all there is this Sicilian guy (Andrea Lo Cicero from Catania) in the national team who doesn't correspond to the stereotype well either.

He looks like a heavily Cromagnid-influenced Irish, at least in the first picture.

IMO he's another CM Alpinid like Castrogiovanni.

Its hard to make out but there are a few and he is not a Jew just a very pigmented paleo atlantid from Wales.

You know who he reminds me of?

He claimed to have Sicilian but also Spanish, German and Native Argentine ancestry
