Might be his Spanish (if he has it) is Galician, they are pretty identical to Portugese genetically.

That is common for lots of Latinos. On Ancestry, Portugal represents Portugal & Western Spain, whereas Spain represents all of Spain.

Are you half or quarter Mexican? Share your GEDmatch results please, I wonder if you are also 17% Amerindian there.

Gedmatch results are the most reliable. Share the k13 and k15 oracles4 if possible please.
