One thing that needs to be mentioned: there are actually different Mongol groups and they can be genetically different from one another. There is another Mongolian sample called the Mongola on various gedmatch calculators.

The Mongola seems to be ethnic Mongols from Inner Mongolia region of China while the Mongolian sample seem to be more from Western parts of Mongolia.

Now the Mongola are genetically much more Mongoloid than the Mongolian sample. They have around minor 1-5% Western admix which is much much less than the amount the Mongolians have. Noteworthily, the Mongola seem to have much more East Asian-like admix than the Mongolians who are more Siberian: the Mongols from China often show Han Chinese, Korean and other East Asians on their population matches while the Mongolians show Siberian and Central Asian pops like Oroqen, Ulchi, Hezhen, Nivkh, Kyrgyz, Kazakh on their population matches.

There are also other Mongolic groups like Buryat, Kalmyk (genetically much closer to Mongolians and Siberians than Mongola), Tu, Daur (their Western admix is almost zero: it is even less than the Mongola)
