I dont see how your Slavic input could be distant (meaning had to be an ancestor of east euro / slavic heritage that is not further back from you than a Grandparnt) unless several or all Grandparents carried small amounts of Slavic that could contribute overall to your result . But I think thats less likely , more likely you have a Grandparent whom has some significant East Euro/Slavic ancestry. If not from Italian side , maybe your German Grandfather could have been of East Euro background.

Yeah by chance his % could match someone with 1 grandparent from a slavic country. But it's not guarentee that he has one.

I get 12% north west european in tests. I dont have a great grandparent who is from Germany. They are all from Denmark back to the 1700's. That's another example that the % can't be taken as an absolute always.

I get 12% north west european in tests. I dont have a great grandparent who is from Germany. They are all from Denmark back to the 1700's. That's another example that the % can't be taken as an absolute always.

Denmark can be considered NW Euro. So you think by chance I have all these Slavic matches and the fact Tribes put me at over 30% Slav? Kid you have a lot to learn.

30% is alot yeah and if you get matches aswell, it's probably not noise admix from neighbour countries. You know i get 30% british aswell on AncestryDNA lol, im not british.

I also got matched with Italy and Macedonia Greece but I am partly Near Eastern ( Greco Anatolian ) ''Caucasian'' and partly British they given me 12 West Asian and 8 percent Red Sea yet I have far more Germanic bone structure.

I was also matched with Romanian Bulgarian and Serbs but more distant.

12% is not that much and Denmark to other NW countries is not huge stretch eg would be more unusual if you got 12% Balkan or Iberian/SW Euro.
Im not too suprised about a half Dane getting 12% North West Euro.
But in some tests he was getting over 20 % Slavic and other one 34 %, and look at his K13 clustering.
Italians dont usually get much Baltic or East Euro components , you referenced NE Slovenian type Italians before but not sure they even get much unless they are part Slovene.

This is her Grandfather who basically looks Middle Eastern I can assure you no one in my imediate family looks anything close to that Arabic. So I don't get GED match or if they take Y dna into account since the females in her family are European.

And the males in my family are South East European I thought Autosomal did take all dna into account...Am I wrong?

Bone structure will show up in your physical appearance someone who is part North European and partly South East European/Caucasus would be any stretch of the imagination be more European than someone 1/4 Arab because Arabs are Semitic so what I am saying is that I don't think GED match takes all the dna into account. Just certain chromosomes

I'm 75% danish. But yes, you have a valid point. I don't know this dudes papertrail, so given that he has not any ancestors who lived close to the slavosphere but werent slavs, then yes, 30% is a lot, and probably means he has legist ancestors from there.

It's the marker of the Indo European Caucasian line right across Europe it is highest in the Balkans, second highest in the Caucasian part of the Near East like Armenia for example and then right the way across Western North and East Europe
