I bought a kit for my son, he is going to be 1 years old this upcoming May (Gemini gang gang gang)
So I decided to get him tested with 23andMe, but apparently his saliva was not enough
they will return me a new kit because the one I had sent failed

have any of you noobs tested babies?

You should've showed him boob pics. That would make him hungry and salivate like crazy.

If you want paternity testing, there are cheaper ways to do it.

LOL....

I am working on a genealogy tree, but I want to include DNA results as well
And it would be nice to have his on the book

Add boob pics to that too.

I tested my daughter when she was 14 months old. No problem in FTDNA. But it was probably easier as I have used cheek swabs.

Use a syringe to collect saliva but make sure its sterilized.

I have heard that FTDNA is easier but I am not a fan of FTDNA, I prefer 23andMe
FTDNA is just too basic with limited detail unlike with 23andMe

I do think FTDNA is better when it comes to haplogroups though

I think that these sort of decisions should be left to him when he's old enough to make them.

Really?

Yeah, are you interested?

We have a paternity classification section here too.

Really good question. If I had a baby I would test it too with DNA relatives feature it is like a paternity test and ancestry test at the same time. The kid will show up as your immediate relative if it is really yours.

Yes, but in Poland we still have old fashion paternity tests in selling. What a waste of money if someone could buy FTDNa or 23&me and test much more things.

Is he half black?

he is fully black
remember, you are what your father is
I am black, therefore he is also black

I read it on a pro black video, and I agreed with that view
