Which is more important to you? Would you leave your homeland for another place to obtain better living?

Money. With money you can come back to your homeland whenever you want. Besides I like travelling so I wouldn't have probs with other cultures.

My homeland is terrible, so I would always love more money.

Nope. I actually turned down a very sweet job offer in Western Canada (the oil patch in Alberta) to stay here in the Maritimes.

Just an idea of how sweet it was, the person I told about the job and now holds it, drives a Porsche.

Now, if I got a job offer in Aruba, Bermuda, or some other tropical paradise, I might consider moving for a while.

I think the actual saying is "The love of money is the root of all evil"....whch takes on a whole new meaning.

It's money for me because with money I can actually do something to effect good changes in my homeland. If I chose to go back to my homeland I won't really be able to do anything productive nor earn much to do any good. Leaving me with only one option and that is colonisation. The Brits colonised much of the world because there was money in it and doing so they cemented Britain as a major economic power in the coming centuries.

Well I certainly don't live in the arctic for its beaches or affluent culture, so money while you're reasonably young, then go where you belong when you are older.

When the people you love the most are dying, and the things and houses you love the most are being selled, trashed, stolen or demolished and hence you dont care a shit about your homeland...there's only an obvious option and it's name is gold.

I'm simply doing a pragmatic speech: if you have difficulties to find a job in your homeland and you desire to go on, you need money and the only thing you can do is to leave your homeland. I'm not thinking of an apocaliptic scenario.
How's that America, Australia and South Africa are full of Europeans?

My scenario was not apocaliptic at all, but feasible and just a bit dramatized.

The question you introduce are what if at your homeland you have not chance to make a living. And that's about political systems. For European Socialdemocracy (implicit also at modern RIght), State should provide you at the end the means for stay on your land if you wanted. Very nice if not were because of that policy, all developed young Europeans around (even myself besides my awareness about it) have developed sense of being parasital beings if things go wrong, because "it's not my fault if my cool studies were not what society demands but clean asses to elder ones". So your scenerio, at least at SPain, will be rather scarce.

Homeland. It is better to be a tramp in England than an average citizen in Africa.

Besides, I could survive without money if it came to that, a miserable existence but it wouldn't be too hard to get back on track so long as you have knowledge on how to.

I enjoy traveling and working in new places, but I have never left my own country. I have applied for positions in Iraq with Halliburton, on Ascension Island and in Antarctica with Raytheon, but I lost interest after making money at home.
