It is a lie that they even are assimilated. The Finnish gypsy population isint assimilated at all. They barerly mixed at all with finns or assimilated. It is from his dad side. I dont know if he has a gypsy surname i think it is Finnish.

The wallon ancestry is a myth to explain Brown eyes or brown hair. The most common hair collor among Swedes is lightbrown hair so then most of the population would have wallon ancestry if that myth was true. Thats not his father.

No idea i would guess that he is adopted. But he is darker then both of "his parents" I dont undestand how that would be possible. Darker pigments are dominant not recessive.

Also the "parents" dont look foregin. His mother can pass in Finland very good i dont know why she would have some Russian or Estonian ancestry.

What I have noticed is that sometimes older color photos, from the 60's,70's, even 80's depending on the camera, tended to be inaccurate and lighten hair a little. I think the mom may have had close to the same coloring as him. Also, I have seen a case of a child darker than both parents, one of my ex-girlfriend's sisters. Btw, I'm just playing devils advocate here - you are making good points. But I do think these could reasonably be his parents. Admittedly he is a bit more exotic than either, but again I have seen this before.

It happens. My youngest brother is the darkest of my family, and he is clearly my father's son (they look alike). I think he looks like his parents. There is nothing in his background about him being a gypsy, and that's the sort of thing that would be of interest. Wikipedia is a pretty left wing site, so if he were Roma, it would have been mentioned. The only biography mentioned that his father, Olavi Litmanen was a football player, as well as his mother. I'm not saying he's not a gypsy, but sometimes people tend to exaggerate these things. If he is a gypsy, you have to show me some sort of proof - an article or maybe his hometown is a gypsy enclave. "He's dark and exotic looking," is not a good enough reason.

In my opinion he is Tydal (scandinavian Paleoatlantid version) with East Baltid and Lappid residual.

He was a monster with a ball in his feet. The best finnish player I've ever seen.
Another finnish crack, left defender, and very fast was Jonas Kolkka if I remember well.

I read that there were 6,000 gypsies and they were pretty isolated, speaking their own language and rarely marrying out of the clan (so I don't know where the other user got the idea that they were assimilated :lol:). I also found a Finnish site where a user asked if he were half-Finnish, but no one answered her properly. "Yes, he is dark," and "everyone looks like a gypsy at the beach" were the standard answers. :lol:

I think that makes it less likely that he is mixed, and rather just a very exotic looking outlier. They sometimes pop up from time to time. Do you think he was picked on as a youth? A user here told me that brown-eyed individuals are picked on and bullied in school. I wonder such treatment would give him the hunger to prove himself, and along with the talent he inherited from his parents, helped fuel his success.

Nope. Sometimes they can bully you for having Brown Eyes but probably as much for having asian Eyes or anny other features. I am Paleo-Atlandid and come from Sweden and i have Brown Eyes. I have never been bulied for that. I dont know about Finland but i have seen some Brown eyed peapole there but most of the peapole got light Eyes. Altough i have a 100% finnish frind who has brownyes. But i am not that familar with Finland so i am the wrong person to ask. In Sweden however Brown eyed peapole isint seen as none Swedes. My friend was suprised when it told him that like 12% of swedes got light Eyes he tought that 40-50% of Swedes had Brown Eyes.

haha. Well, here in the US, Swedes are stereotyped as blue-eyed and blond haired. The instances of brown eyes is small enough so that WN types tend to revere you guys as the ideal. I find it funny that anyone would think that Swedes are 50% brown eyed! XD

Yeah even i tought it was to much i would have guessed 20% to 30%. And the most Swedes have not golden blonde or lightblonde hair even tough it is realtivly common. The most peapole got "fakeblonde" hair like darkblonder or lightbrown.
