Actually, everything she said was decent. I was a little shocked at first by the last line, but she doesn't really say "we must accept a particularly high crime-rate among immigrant youths." What she said was that they must combat violence on all levels of society but that they must accept THAT (dass) there exists an especially high (besonderes hoch) crime-rate among immigrant youth.

The translation given makes it sound like she is urging Germany simply to accept immigrant crime when, in truth, she is saying they must focus in on immigrant crime when trying to mitigate crime more generally in Germany.

Listened to it with my eyes, because my brain does not translate German to English. But basically she is saying that there are no no-go areas in Germany. Which I do not really believe and if not it is only a matter of time.

The accepting of immigrant crime does sound worse on it own, but with the statement coming before that it places it in a different context.

Nothing more then the heritage of Morgenthau and others like him that made it nearly impossible to talk about these things without assuring your audience you are not a racist. Therefore the visit to the boxing gym and the talk about combating crime on all layers of society.

What we’ve got to accept

The Chancellor noticed that “youth violence” predominantly is a problem of immigrants - at last! Now she wants to talk about it on the conference of interior ministers without tackling the problem at its roots and she made clear enough that: “We must accept a particularly high crime rate among immigrant youths.”

With the term “accept” the head of state most likely expressed a little awkward in this context that “it is noticed”, which is pretty much a step forward for someone who recently refused to read important literature on the subject. (The Sarrazin book)

Of course a closely limited one, since the original text (http://www.bundeskanzlerin.de/Content/DE/Podcast/2011/2011-06-18-Video-Podcast/links/2011-06-18-text,property=publicationFile.pdf) of Merkel’s speech is rather revealing.

Immigration is accepted as natural law, which can’t be influenced, it’s simply accepted.
Immigrant children should "have the same life chances and the same development opportunities as children from families with a German background," ie, they should be bestowed the excellent, if not exclusive care and attention from government and taxpayers, which at best should subsidize boxing courses for the young violent affine immigrants, like the one the Chancellor visited recently benevolently, so that they’ll learn the purpose of prevention and to beat each other in compliance with certain rules. After all socio-pedagogical “integration policy” is the best “prevention of violence”, even though the real benefits of those methods have never been proven.

Sending back or not letting in social welfare leeches, good-for-nothings and criminals in the first place isn’t possible. Merkel doesn’t speak about that, because “we need every single young person in our country”. In the end nobody is completely useless; he can still serve as justification for the existence of social workers and the integration industry.

From their perspective also Chancellor Merkel thinks and speaks. It is the perspective of empathy with foreign criminals, not the German victims. For the latter nobody raises a voice and certainly not those which would have jurisdiction and ex officio commission for it ahead of all others.

Merkel and the interior ministers won’t address the problem seriously once again. And finally German victims don’t have a lobby.

It is so of all so-called "conservatives" today that they refuse to see or refuse to address the immigrant problem. It comes from a short memory and the infiltration of liberal values into the Conservative movement. No true conservative can ever believe in anything like equality- racial, individual, or otherwise - nor can he espouse the sort of idiot quasi-Socialism embraced by almost every major "conservative" Party Machine in the West from the Tories to the Republicans to the Christian Democrats.
