True. He is an ethnic Bonda tribal from Malkangiri, Orissa. Bondas have like around 1/3% SE Asian admix I think and are predominantly East Eurasian genetically.. I think they are the most East Eurasian-shifted of the Mundas, who are one of the most East Eurasian pop of Indians.

You are right he would be atypical. Although I feel that in some pics, he can sort of pass.

Not counting Most NE Indians, I think Assamese some Bengalis and some Mundas especially Bonda, Gadaba, Juang more likely to pass as some type of SE Asian than other South Asians.

Assam actually forms 2/3 of the population in the northeast. Yes I think most assamese can pass in se asia either typically or atypically.

Phenotypically, Assamese can pass in SE Asia even more than the Munda tribes who also have a lot of East Asian influence genetically?

Yeah ofcourse. Assamese on average have more east asian in them than the tribals in central india. Assamese have actual recent east asian affinity while the east asian in tribals seems to be more ancient
