Why am I getting matched with Azores, Portugal on my Iberian side when I have no Azores ancestors?

It would have been more reasonable if I got matched with Andalusia or Extremadura or something
but Azores???

the weird thing is that when Hispanics match with Portugal, it is always either Azores or Madeira

Because you have relatives from the Azores and most tested Portuguese are from the Islands.

Even Portuguese from mainland usually get Azores as first match.

No, it's because azoreans and madeirans are skewing the portuguese results. Most of 23andme costumers are from America, so a lot of portuguese islanders.
I get islands too and i'm from Alentejo (which isn't even listed):

I thought you guys would get more accurate listings, but now that I think about it, you are right about there being more Portuguese Islanders on 23andMe due to their population in America

Nah our lists are useless unfortunately. My regions are all wrong and from what i could see the other portuguese members have innacurate lists as well even ignoring Azores and Madeira.
A pitty but is what it is.
