I was watching a Chinese martial arts movie yesterday and this guy played the villain (a Japanese general). I don't know if he fits the Yakonid type, he seems different from this guy (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26340), who was classified as yakonid here. He looks like some Mexican castizos I have seen. He also seems to have some kind of wavy hair when he's not bald.

yes, but is probably more true the contrary: as Polinesians came into the pacific when Ainuid peoples already inhabited the Japanese islands.

As Taiwans indegenous people, shouldn't have (normally) curly hair, i suspect that in this man it could have a independent origin.maybe a variation within the Sinid/Ainuid spectrum that composes Japan,

The presence of curls in Polinesians seems more likely to derive from their southern Melanesian component.

Looks typical Central American mestizo (slums boy from El Salvador). Jomon-Yayoi mix as guy depicted on right:

Actually the interesting look to this guy has nothing to do with Ainu probably, more likely it is the fact that his mother is from El Salvador.

You have to admit I'm amazing:) Read my previous comment! It's only now that I read that his mother is from El Salvador, which is exactly what I saw in a documentary about criminals from slums of El Salvador that looked like him. However, I tried to explain his ancestry assuming he's full Jap. Now in reality he looks a complex mix of: Mongoloid, Negroid and Caucasoid. He fits perfectly in El Salvador as cholo with negroid admix. Looks alien to Japan (curly hair is nonexistent there).

Interesting that his bulging eyes are common to Jomon-looking people, but in his case it is Negroid inheritance.
