The Genetic History of these Islands isn't really that well known. Though there is not good reason to think they are that different to the rest of Northern France. Recent immigration has been substantial from England and other places especially to Jersey so I cannot guarantee the Native-ness of these fellas but they where all born there so likely are natives. Where do you think they pass? Normandy, Brittany, England?

These could be Normans easily. I'm not even talking Cherbourg here; all over, Cornwall after maybe(can't really picture some of those faces in Gateshead or Leeds for some reason) and wouldn't stand out among Betrons much either.

I could do a thread on the Isle of Wight, but fwiw they do not look any different from mainland English people which isn't surprising when you consider how close it is to the mainland and the fact that it has always been politically integrated with England

Just as well. Can't really say I expected them to stand out much from say; your average crowd from Winchester. However, it was once upon a time a Jute settlement 'till the West Saxon kingdom, gave them a spanking for clinging to heathenry. Guess, I was hoping I'd see something more familiar in them.

Which isn't surprising, As Northern French people (Germans too) who are fully native are closer to English genetically, than to say, central French (or central Germans - though less obviously phenotypically).

Him, Barker, Le Tissier and even Peatfield wouldn't stand out as far south as Minho provided they keep their mouths shut.
