I wouldn't say he is the most typical face, but he's just Mediterranid in my opinion.

Not typical at all :)...Dinarid-Mediterranid.

Pretty armenoid nose.

You think he looks Alien for Spain? To me he looks like a lot of Spaniard males in their 50's. His teeth are a bit crooked but that shouldn't make him more exotic by default.

Not exotic ofc, just that he's not a typical look...:) he's pretty random. But not what we call typical.

His type I have seen in Spanish people but I wouldn't say he's "typical" that's all.

He doesn´t look alien but certainly he has not the most typical look.
Somebody with dinarid tendencies (the nose specially) like him can´t be representative of the most common look . It doesn´t mean that they dont exist of course

I cannot understand why he couldn't pass as Spaniard just because he has hawk nose or whatever. As far as I've seen Spaniards enough more than you. He does looks Spanish but not typical, of course. According to Iberia, light hair and light eyes are typical for Spaniard.

His nose is not Dinarid...but Armenoid. He's not typical, and that's everything about it :) calm down guys. A typical spanish man, would be a Atlantid-Mediterranid (spot Walt Disney or even Francisco Franco).

Is it just me, or doesn't the guy look strangely similar to Gen. Francisco Franco?

Look: dolychocephalic skull, high rooted arched nose, somewhat triangular face, pointy recessed chin... Hey, it's a typical Spanish Basque phenotype!

(I know it's weird, the dude has a Catalan name, he ressembles a famous Gallego Chief of State, and both of them look like being from Guipuzcoa!)

He's at best a pseudo-Dinarid.

Nobody said he can´t pass just he´s not the most typical
"Pass" is a very broad term. I doubt people spot me as a foreing walking around Sofia or Milano yet it doesn´t mean my look is typical or representative of those places ;)

Francisco Franco's nose was quite different at least for some pics, ...and also facial features :)

I didn't say he could not pass as a spaniard. But read the title : "typical spanish" , he is clearly not typical. I know, im a spaniard.

He looks like the guy who comes to place traps and poison for rats etc in the outside perimeter of he house.

If he were Argentinean you could argue that his looks are about the typical 60-70 percent of Amerindian etc mtDNA. Otherwise I'd blame it on the J2 Y-Chromosome. Shit happens, even if it's Neolithic shit. ;)

Baskid variant (Mediterranid + Dinaro-Alpinoid tendencies) with a somewhat more exotic tendency.

Ibericus
06-27-2011, 07:07 PM
There is no baskid in him at all. People have a weird idea of what Baskid is, confusing a dinarid noise with baskid. The baskid nose are straight, like this :

He is basque golfer Jose Maria Olazabal, imo he represents the baskid type, his nose is not Dinarid at all, but straight, more pics of him :

Now is Baskid related to Dinarid or are they two separate types that have nothing to do with one another?

Agrippa
06-27-2011, 07:25 PM
He is a classic example, especially with this typical low head common among Baskids.

Obviously I would took him as an example for Baskid too and not the other guy, yet the other guy approaches the wider variation of Baskid or generally Mediterranid + Dinaro-Alpinoid influences in Iberia.

Probably similar to a comparison of classic Keltic Nordic (stabilised, typical) vs. similar variants due to (more recent and less typical?) Nordid + Dinaro-Alpinoid influences.
