How does this combination happen? Usually you’ll find light eyes on a person with light skin but I have ocationaly seen some folks with dark skin and light eyes that didn’t have any sort of medical condition.
What you consider dark skin may be different from me, so I’ll post Randall Cobb as a benchmark

He is Mulatto on his father and mothers side so he carried the recessive genes and they were expressed.

Usually when you see person with light eyes they have light skin, for example Jesse Williams

I’ve rarely seen dark skinned folks like Randall Cobb that have light eyes, usually their eyes are very dark.

True but those people usually have closer white heritage, the person in your pic is probably the result of 2 different slave owners who slept with slaves hundreds of years ago and put those genes in their gene pool. I have heard of children being born to two white parents that have had genetic recombination occur and they have African features do to mulatto assimilating into white society.

I’ve always thought that the genes that control skin color were related to the ones that control eye and hair color. It made sense to me at the time from my own personal observations. I still think that they are related based on my observations of mixed race folks- those with lighter eyes mostly have light skin.

That guy has a little pigment reduction, he is probably the darker end of the spectrum you see people with blue eyes. The mutations related to eye color and skin color have correlation and the production of blue eyes is similar in that it has to do with melanin but your skin color and eye color don't really have much correlation after that. Eye color has to do more with carriers within your genepool. The same thing goes with hair, most light skinned black people usually have black hair, sometimes they don't it's mostly dependent on recombination and distance between you and those genes.

it happens by having white genes, he has some down the line
nothing unusual about that at all
like my little cousin, he is the same skin color as Randall but he has blonde hair
that combination is rare to me, but then again, he is not pure black, he has euro admixture and those genes popped out
it was just a matter of time
but dark skin people with light eyes look cool, it makes their eyes stand out more than on light skin people with light eyes
the contrast just looks cool to me, I wish I was dark

What about ginegroids? If ever there were a 'hybrid' that should never have come to be, then this would be it. 88493

Michael Strahan's (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Strahan) ex-wife is white and their twin daughters are ginger mulattas. In one generation their visual blackness would probably be gone.

Lighter hair and dark skin is considerably more common especially in children as far as I can tell. You can find children with light hair even in Africa

All the Indians I’ve seen that had light eyes also had light skin
if it's introduced in their gene pool somewhere down the line it can appear. African Americans are almost all atleast 20-30% Euro, so colored eyes can obviously appear commonly. Even in Africa, im sure some can have colored eyes due to Arabic migrations or colonizer dna or something - East Africans have like 30% MENA ancestry right?

Wtf does “colored eyes” mean? I’ve never heard the term before.

it's pretty common terminology I thought. Means an eye color that is not brown/black

I never used it and nobody I know uses it, we don’t usually differentiate between eye colors but when we do we use the words “Dark” or “light”. Dont really understand the term “colored”. It sounds too vauge and open to interpretation. Are light brown eyes considered “colored”? What about brown mixed with green and blue? Or even dark brown mixed with light brown?
