You are way too much shifted towards Baltic and also you have some specific drift towards nowhere :)

This one makes me look even closer to Aragon and Cantabria, but it's a shame each Spanish region only has 3 or 4 samples, so they probably aren't truly representative

Why are some completely different in clustering in classic view? and what do these clusters exactly represent? I notice users here and there holding different clustering positions from the initial view and then the classical view.

Thanks for all the work you've done with plots on many occasions ph2ter. Another question what pulls people north or south or east? Is that possible to answer? Is it Steppe (ANE) or HG that pulls people north etc?

Why are some completely different in clustering in classic view? and what do these clusters exactly represent? I notice users here and there holding different clustering positions from the initial view and then the classical view.
Every method uses different clustering algorithm. The first one uses neighbour joining algorithm (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neighbor_joining), and the second one Euclidean distances with UPGMA method (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UPGMA).

WHG pulls north,
Steppe pulls east,
EEF pulls southwest,
EHG pulls northeast,
Levant pulls southeast
Uralic pulls northeast
etc...
Albanian placing seems so wrong. It's impossible to be there. I plot in Abruzzo. Most Albanians were closer to Tuscan. Whose results were used?

Macedonian placing is also wrong...
What you should do is to place the samples individually and not as average.
That's obvious in your Eurogenes K15 PCA!
What pulls the Macedonian average further away from its real position is Macedonian3 sample in the spreadsheet.
That sample is no way Macedonian, clusters with Bosniaks and Croats.

G25 population averages are taken from Davidski G25 spreadsheets. All such complaints should be addressed to him.

ph2ter have right, and as you can see in the attached plot (I'm the one with *, in the crossroads of the clusters, with my real name), my cords are similar to the ph2ter's pca.88496

Why is there such a difference when it comes to scaled or unscaled coords?
I've noticed the same with mine results as well...
Which results are more trustful to say so?
ph2ter have right, and as you can see in the attached plot (I'm the one with *, in the crossroads of the clusters, with my real name), my cords are similar to the ph2ter's pca.88496
You plot equally northern like me on David PCA, but much more western.

I always plot pretty close to the German cluster. I'm assuming somewhere around western/south western Germany.

They are good for ancient samples.

More Neolithic usually = southern pull. For example, Thracians were more southern than Albanians and Greeks. Yet, they were not that far south. Its higher neolithic admixture.

Not exactly, look at Sardinians. You can't get much more EEF than them today, yet they are not that far "south"

Hmm. What do you propose is responsible for why South-East Euro-Neolithic samples were so far south? Including some LBA/LIA Balkan samples. I mean my pull is slightly south-west towards Sardinians, my father as well. In a lot of nmonte runs, and even geneplaza calcs show a slight Sardinian input. Including wegene. Which I assumed was Neolithic and not actually Sardinian in any recent sense. Figured that explained the south shift.

Some stronger Caucasian/West Asian affinity, you can see it better on a plot that contains them. If I'm not mistaken Balkan IA had that sort of pull aswell, it must be relatively old in the Balkans

Ahh I see. That makes sense because I get close with some of these samples, which is probably explained by the shift/admixture. I noticed in K36 me and my father have higher than most "Italian"(32 for me and 35 for my father) or Central Med as some label it(not as much as Sardinians), and some of the ancient samples had scores of 45-65 "Italian". So it is probably preserved admixture from isolation?

They are the most southern plotting europeans, they just are west.

Thanks. Based on the two PCA's am I considered an outlier or do I still fit generally well within Romania? I'm asking because based on Global 25 my fit gets better if I choose Moldavian and German (instead of Moldavian and Hungarian), together with some Tatar samples. I'm considering whether there could have been some German input from my mom's side, considering her roots in Bukovina. I know Germans didn't really mix with the locals but still, this is why I'm asking.
