There is no way that this guys is fully Bulgarian. He is not a Balkan Turk as well if we consider African admixture in him.

He is kinda mixture of Bulgarian+Turkic+Northern African, I believe.

I am expecting in western region like I said Pernik-Vidin-Sofia some more slavic,serbian trace..
This regions have probably a lot of slavic,serbian dna..Many times saw how others from east and south call them Šop's or Srbophone etc..

What could possibly explain his East Asian %? That literally only happens when you have legitimate ancestry from China, Japan, Korea, etc. because the Siberian component is lower.

Hmmm I don't know anything about Bulgars, really. But I would assume Tatars would have much higher Siberian % than East Asian.

I have seen such East Asian / Siberian ratio in some Anatolian Turks and Tatars too, it might only can be about Turkic admixture in somewhere in his past because we're talking about Balkans lol. There were no Koreans. I have a theory but i'm not going to share it in the thread, i want to see more comments about this result.

It's very peculiar! If he said "I'm a Balkan Turk" it would be much more believable, right?

I guess first guy is of Serbian origin, even seems more "Serb" than many southern Serbs.
Others to ( more or less) have quite northern result than other Bulgarians..Seems history worked this time and got proves in Dna.

No, his Siberian is not lower at all. East Asian is also pretty common among Turks. He is around 11.5% Mongoloid and also has 3.5% South Asian. I would say he definitely has some Turkic ancestry but somehow he has low West Asian.

Very unusual. 4% NE African is the amount you would typically find in some Iberians and nowhere else in Europe. And the Asian percentage varies greatly depending on the calculator. I wonder what he got on the commercial test he had ordered.

Many Turks continued to use their Bulgarian names after the name changing just before the fall of communism.

We even had a member here who admitted to be from those Turks, yet considers himself 100% Bulgarian.

There are many who have only Bulgarian passports with Bulgarian names. U never can say that this person is not Bulgarian until he/she decides to admit it.

No, not Haldis. There was a user called "east". Assimilated Bulgarian Turk who lives in Varna. As far as I remember he even has children who wont be anything else but Bulgarian.
