With the exception of Sardinia, South Italy, Malta, Greek Islands and Cyprus in most other places mediterranid isn't the most common phenotype. I was was on the wrong track till this day but after realizing how Northern some South Europeans look I realized that most of South Europe isn't mediterranean but mostly Dinaric, alpine and pontid, Atlantid.

Pontid and Atlantid is on Mediterranean spectrum....

Those are mixed types and not Mediterranean in most senses. Well Greek Pontid obviously look more Mediterranid than a Romanian Pontid but it can be also very Northern looking

Isn’t Pontid purely Mediterranean?, it’s found in Italy, greece, balkans and the rest of Eastern Europe according to humanphenotypes.net

I agree except for Atlantids. Too many people mistake Atlanto-Meds with Atlantids, and Atlantids for North Atlantids, proper Atlantids peak in Wales, Ireland, Brittany/W France, not Iberia.

People like Jon Hamm, Mike Pence, Rick Santorum, Matt Brown are proper Atlantids, Meds are def more common in Italy than those types.

The so called mediterranid isn't the most common in Sardinia, it's just one among Dinarics, Alpines, Atlantids. The dark skinned girl you posted is not the typical Sardinian, you can find people like her, but not so much as you think, perhaps 1 among 50 people. More common in the south of Sardinia, and less common in the central and northern areas of the island.

I agree, Mediterranean only predominates in the islands (Sardinia, Sicily, Malta, Crete etc) and is relatively common in parts of South Italy, parts of Greece and parts of Iberia but not predominant. Apulians, for example, despite being South Italians aren't mostly Mediterranean but Alpine and Dinaric. And usually the 'Mediterranean' types present in these places are Atlanto-Meds or Dinaro-Meds, not ''pure Meds'', which aren't common in Europe apart from Sardinia, Sicily, Greek Islands, Calabria, parts of Iberia.

Pure Mediterranean as a phenotype is more a MENA than European phenotype. I generally use 'Mediterranean' as a broad term to SW Europeans, not implying phenotypical considerations.

I'd say around 20% of Southern Europeans are metrically only Mediterranean.

I agree that pure Meds, as opposed to those with Alpine, Dinaric or Atlantid elements, are a minority by some distance in most of Southern Europe.

Mediterranean is a spectrum you freaking anthrotards which is broken down to Gracile or robust(Atlantomed, Pontid), what you call Atlantid is non existed. There is only Nordic, North Atlantid/Pontid and Mediterranean(brunette, leptoprosopic, dolicocephalic). Of course, Mediterranean is the main type of South-Europeans and the spectrum anthropologists used to describe the Neolithic folk when they showcased cases of gracile-meds up to Sweden. It's not a sole type exclusively for Tuareg tribes of Sahara.
