And I do have quiete alot of Ashkenazi or half Ashkenazi Jewish cousins even as 3rd cousins (which is not that distant I think). So the 1% Ashkenazi on my ancestry composition might be real?

Any smidgen of AJ ancestry screws up ones relative finder there. My mom is 6.25% AJ and 94% of her matches are ashkenazim, most of whom are full-blooded or at least half.

It still works out. You’re probably like 0.5% AJ or so, maybe actually 1%. And it’s not a mathematical formula, you just happen to have less relatives on 23 with matching partial AJ segments.

I know. I said 0.5-1.0% just to acknowledge some points could be going into other areas.

Jews have been round for a whole lot of time. I think most of us have Jewish ancestry, at least remotely

I wouldn't trust ftdna on their Sephardi category. It's sort of an unspecific East Med as lebanese get much more Sephardic than I got...
What is your gedmatch kit (pm me) ? maybe we are distantly related?

Maybe because Jews like to take these tests more often? So any small percentage will still flood the relative area?

I would trust FTDNA over MyHeritage. Also you're Moroccan, so, you never know.

MyHeritage's Sephardic panel is North African, while FTDNA's is Balkan (Greek and Turkish). You'll probably have to triangulate segments and shit.

I dont score any ashkenazi or sephardi on MyHeritage but I have some relatives now I dont know if that is significant for MyHeritage can you look thanks
