They should give out stuffed monkey toys when any deranged liberal socialist buys an Ombongo book.

I say the person responsible should get a promotion.

If we ever discover who did this, we should give them an Apricity Appreciation Award. The first ever AAA handed out.:)

Wonder what they'd say to doing the same thing with Dubya? Would that also be classified as a hatecrime or would that be described as innocent jesting because Dubya happens to be white?

Seems like another case of the "one set of laws for the more equal amongst us" and another set of laws for the rest.

What a "shocking hate crime" committed by the person who assembled this montage. The world must now surely be united as one in their disgust and universal condemnation of this cyber savagery. :D

That reminds me of something I saw at Walmart...I have no idea who would have done it, but I got pictures...and, it happened to be at different Walmarts, too...

Yeah, but, I AM in North Carolina. That was all west of Charlotte, aka Occupied Territory. I guess it must have been one of those original Boys in the Hood. I'm Heathen, so I wouldn't be setting up letters for a Christian organization. Maybe one of the late Virgil Griffin's guys? They are in the area. But, I think it might have just been some crazy guys having fun. You know how guys can be.

You know.... I think I said it before, but I'm going to go ahead and say it again....

This country is kinda going down the shitter, ya know?

Okay, let me preface this post by saying, I work in a bookshop myself, though not a chain like this Barnes and Noble.

Firstly, there would be no reason for those books to be together on a shelf due to differing classifications (the monkey book, if not on display, would likely be shelved in "Nature" or maybe the Children's Section. So why is everyone up in arms about it? .-. Clearly, it is just someone playing a prank or some customer picked up the book, didn't want it, and put it down where it didn't belong (i.e. Can someone tell me why we have a book on Canadian Tort Law on our display of classics?)

In any case, it's not a very sophisticated joke. ^^

Maybe it was a juvenile prank, maybe it was a genuine oversight. Either way, how come would it be a "hate crime" when similar stunts against Dubya were largely ignored?

After all, white people have feelings too and Dubya's feelings may have been hurt for being compared to a chimp.

Reeks of double standards. One set of rules for the PC brigade and another for the rest.

I don't know why it's such a big thing...:coffee:

I agree! I don't understand Barnes and Noble either. Obama and his corporate supporters should relish this opportunity to strike a blow for freedom of speech instead of turning a none-event into an artificial "hate crime" crisis.

Why can't these liberals climb down from their ivory towers?
