When did German and Danish become interchangeable? It's 80 million people vs 5 million. One's gonna have wider array of looks. Looking at him...that's a no to the latter nothing about him strikes me as such. As for German, maybe, though something about how he furrows his brows as he talks, tells me he's English.

I ask if he can pass as either German or Danish, simple question. You say 'English'? Many say that Danes and a small amount 'ethnic English' look very similar

Yeah your right. But even in the best examples there will always be something that's not quite danish.

Best examples i can say are, a guy like Jordan Pickford comes extremely close. Another one is Jamie Vardy, the mans having a party. He is also very close to danish look. 10/10 almost.

Both Vardy and Pickford are extremely 'Keltic'

It's an odd thing they seem to do, Especially Cockneys(which I reckon that guy to be), the Irish kinda do it as well. Also hand gestures give the English away. My expression's always dull so I get mistaken for eastern Euro pretty often over it.

They are passing in Denmark 9/10. Whatever you might call them, i'm not sure that's what i understand with keltic look anyways.

That's more someone like Richard Hammond maybe and piers morgan.

The former looks more Scottish to me, I take it he was born near the marchies of Scotland.

Vardy's got the edge, might be the forehead, he's a Yorkie and they often look very West Norwegian and Danish. I had a similar look at 18, felt like shit when I found him out to be 32.

edit: YUP! born near Tyne and Wear(the Pickford boy), knew it.

Not particularly German to me, but he could pass. But he leans more towards Dark Irish.

Funny how these people can easily pass in Iceland, Denmark and Norway, but here they’d instantly be seen as ’off looking’.

It's cause Norway and Iceland has celtic admixture along with their north germanic. And danes have a portion of admixture which is shared with anglo/saxons aswell.
Swedes have none of those. Im thinking thats why.

Or do Danes, Norwegians and Icelandic people have less Finnic admixture? If you look at population distances Scandinavians are very close to Brits and Irish and this includes Swedes. That doesn't necessarily mean they are phenotypically similar though as you can usually tell one from the other.

Yeah good point it could also be the reason. But the two englishmen would still stand out in southern sweden even, where finnic admix should be lesser tho.
But then again phenotype and DNA similarity on PCA charts don't always follow 1 to 1.

More German than Danish but I would say neither, he looks too strikingly western for both.
Looks like White American to me, not even Brit.

He fits as German. He looks Norid + Atlanto-Med.
As for Denmark, I don't think so.

Germany yes. Denmark Nah.

Vardy is very English looking and a Denmark has a lot of those Kelto-Saxon faces. That is where the main overlap exists.

Danish (probably) not, German yes. I say probably because there's always exceptions to the rule.

yeah he can pass, but in Denmark he would be regarded as atypical- in contrast in Germany he would not be questioned there.
