No, it's just some genetic similarity; Serbs and Moldavians have a very similar genetic blend of Slavic/Balkan, difference is Moldovans plot more east, probably because natives to that region were naturally more east shifted compared to the paleo balkanites that Serbs absorbed. Serbs are not close to Wallachians for example.
So does it mean i have italian, spanian roots?
I am serb i dont know how they had contact with them, and serbs strikes generallly high at west med, accordnign to spredsheet its 16 %. but i got 19
To answer to u...no, it’s just a similar regional blend

An average is just an average; it's obtained by adding samples together and dividing them by the number of samples; the fact that the average is 16% doesn't mean anything, as a good 50% will score above it, and 50% will score below it.
You've been making these threads for months now asking the same questions; I suggest you test with a different company, myheritage is known to be bad and it west plots south slavs on gedmatch. Try another company.

Why do you say that ? Myheritage has best raw data on the market at the moment

No idea. Romanians have no albanian admixture unlike greeks, croats and serbs, which isnt a bad thing.

Every Serb on TA who has tested with myheritage (Ikol, Moje Ime, Hungry Lion, and another one I forgot his name) plots way to west of average, half way towards north italy/Austria almost in terms of westness. Pretty sure its something with the data. Would be curious for a serb who has tested already with another company, to try myheritage and compare their two results.

This genetic make-up is on average typical for serbs and mot likely, if not definitely, predates the formation of modern nations. Russians for example also score west-med, doesn't mean that they have Portuguese or Spanish ancestry.

It’s normal. All europeans score west med

Probably because they are western shifted.
Myheritage is has bad algorithm, but raw data has more and better quality SNP than other companies.
Currently 23andme raw data (V5) is the worst, followed by FTDNA (old chip of FTDNA was very good, but new one has much less SNP). AncestryDNA has good raw data.

Not so much west. I plot just little more west from Croatian average but southern of it. Also we have different components that pulls result west. Ikol has higher then average West Med, I have higher then average North West and Hungry Lion has both higher then average North West and Baltic and lack of southern components. It's not like it adds too much of just one component.
I would like to see Croatian MyHeritage results, are they western shifted more of average.

West med percent means how much you're far or near to spot where that component peaks. In case of West Med, I'm not sure but it is probably somewhere in Spain. It does not show that you have recent Spanish ancestors in most of cases.

Really ? Romanians are genetically much closer to Albanians than Croats are, not to mention they have decent amount of eastern R1b, J2b2 and E-V13 markers (again more than we have)
Trolling as usual. Romanian and Albanian language share some vocabulary too.

As far as I know West Med peaks among Sardinians. This is European farmer component. All Europeans have it.

MH definitely has the best raw data if we're judging by the amount of SNPs used in gedmatch runs (uses the most), both autosomal results and matches. Here's my plot using all raw datas I have. Black is MH, red is ancestry, orange is 23andme v5 and green is all raw datas merged. The merged one gives me the highest number of SNPs during any runs, gedmatch or elsewhere.

Its beacuse i get different answers everytime, i will see, which company is most reliable?

There was pre-Vlach migration from Dinaric alps to today parts of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine in some time far before Slavic arrival?
Or ancestors of today nations like Serbs bring genetics from that regions on Dinaric alps?

FTDNA changed their data format earlier this year. My kits from 2017 have 175-179k SNPs (on Eurogenes), the most recent ones have only 77k or so. A massive drop but still more than V5 (~58k).

Probably both.

I've never seen a Romanian with J2b2, and none of my matches on 23andme have it. I think J2a is more common. Serbs also have more E-V13 than Romanians. Regarding R1b-L23, yes, we do have way more of it than southwest Slavs.

Serbs are mixed with Albanians in parts of Montenegro and Kosovo. There was J2b2 Moldovan posted recently and autosomally he is more Eastern European than average (23andme).

I'm sure they exist, I just think the bulk of Romanian J2 is J2a from what I've seen. There's 3 J2a Romanians on TA for example (Impaler, Incelslayer, Nurzat). Also, if I recall correctly, most E-V13 clades in Serbs are unrelated to Albanians.

I just checked Eurogenes and I score pretty much the same (173-179k). Using my merged raw data I get 10k more SNPs. Do you have any v3 kit numbers for comparison? I tried to convert my v5 a while back but that only threw me halfway to Lviv (or was it Moldova?) if I remember correctly, can check later when I have access to my pc (no converted kit uploaded atm to gedmatch).

How did you merge all raw data’s?
How did you merge all raw data’s?
I used DNA kit studio. http://dnagenics.com/category/tools/dna-kit-studio/
You can also use the tier 1 function on gedmatch but that won't let you download the data.

V3 had around 180k or so. Just like MH.
