There is not a single "Baltid" here. They pass much better in Central Europe than in NE Europe.

Serbs were present in the past in Timisoara and Arad, especially in Timisoara.
Count Đorđe Branković was Born in Ineu, and Sava Tekeletija was born in Arad. They are important in Serbian history.

Many Serbs from Romanian Banat including Timisoara area moved to Serbian part of Banat after WW1 when Banat was divided between Yugoslavia and Romania after the colapse of AU.
Serbs which stayed in Romanian Banat are parly assimilated in Romanian nation. Serbian minority in Romania exist only in Banat.
I know one Serbs from Syrmia whose family moved to Syrmia from village near Timisoara in 1905.

anyway, for the more eastern-looking types one should know whether those aren't Moldovans or Ukrainians - large numbers have been moved there by the communists during communism, to work in factories. a whole lot of Ukrainians in Bucovina and Maramures were moved to live in the villages deserted by Germans (where also Gypsies had been moved) - I have many relatives there because of that. and they have a strong and united Ukrainian community in Banat because of that, it's not native but displaced recently.
