can people post their chart(one below) or PM them to me, I'm rather obsessed over these, and wish to compile the demographics of apricitans.

Pallantides, did Dr. McDonald explain your position on the map? I have seen two Swedes that were placed in Ireland, and I am wondering what is causing Scandians to plot so strangely on the map.

In his answer to my second mail he said my spot was located in Northern Poland, but
I got that map after I asked for one in the third mail I sent him but he didn't write anything specific about it, but that map have me in Eastern England and Frisia.:confused:

That is a puzzling map - you have 2 red dots, a blue dot, & a violet dot! But perhaps ending up in England isn't too suprising if you have a lot of Saxon blood. :thumb001:

To the OP, good idea. I am also fascinated by McDonald's various analyses. His maps, in particular.

My father's map. And the Mandaean's whose account I manage:

He is either still on vacation or has just returned.

I will be on vacation until July 16 so please don't send me
any new files until then if you see this.

And, another thing. If you are writing from a hotmail account, I know at one time he was having difficulty receiving messages from individuals with hotmail accounts, or he had blocked all hotmail email addresses, or something along those lines.

His words regarding it, I got this map after emailing him about Middle Eastern segments on an older Chromosome mosaic asking if they were Jewish in origin, he updated my mosaic and said the following:

Not Jewish. I have a new special test just for that.
In fact my lastest method shows no Mideast bars on the chromosomes.

It does say that either European or Mideastern can be added
to your basically English base to move the spot on the map
a bit east.

Most likely fit is 96.5% (+- 1.1%) Europe (all Western Europe)
and 3.5% (+- 1.1%) Mideast (various subcontinents)

The following are possible population sets and their fractions,
most likely at the top
English= 0.940 Jewish= 0.060
English= 0.966 Egyptian= 0.034
English= 0.970 Moroccan= 0.030
English= 0.962 Palestin= 0.038
English= 0.965 Bedouin= 0.035
English= 0.975 Bedouin = 0.025
English= 0.962 Druze= 0.038
English= 0.954 Cypriot= 0.046
English= 0.968 Armenian= 0.032
English= 0.984 Mozabite= 0.016

Second most likely fit is 94.6% (+- 6.1%) Europe (all Western Europe) and 5.4% (+- 6.1%) Europe (various subcontinents) which is 100% total Europe.

The following are possible population sets and their fractions,
most likely at the top
French= 0.330 English= 0.670
Spain= 0.127 English= 0.873
English= 0.879 Italian= 0.121
English= 0.905 Tuscan= 0.095
French= 0.635 Irish= 0.365
English= 0.952 Sardinia= 0.048
Spain= 0.340 Irish= 0.660
French= 0.830 Lithuani= 0.170
English= 0.893 Romania= 0.107
Basque= 0.046 English= 0.954

What I don't get is if the segments weren't due to some distant Jewish ancestry then why was Jewish at the top of the English against Middle Eastern fraction list?

What is interesting is my place on the map is in Southeastern England, which matches with the RMS distance figures taken from the Eurogenes run from July 4th, 2011.

A few additional results to report. I combined the green spots for my father and two new Assyrians, and marked the approximate centers for each from 1-3. The other new result is the Armenian. Please see the second attachment for the precise location of the green spot. I believe I approximated its position accurately on the first attachment. The third attachment is McDonald's PCA. Cyan=Assyrians. Yellow=Mandaean. The large purple square is the new Armenian.

The principal mix he predicted for the three Assyrians and Mandaean:
~80%-90% Armenian
~10%-20% Bedouin

The above mix is similar to Dienekes' Oracle (http://dodecad.blogspot.com/2011/07/dodecad-oracle-v1.html) prediction.

The Armenian came back as 100% Armenian.

I remain impressed with Dr. McDonald's analyses.

The green dot is the one that marks your final position ;)
Which means i'm southern french. Anyway, here is what he said:

Male
Most likely fit is 87.2% (+- 3.9%) Europe (all Western Europe)
and 12.8% (+- 3.9%) Mideast (all North Africa)

The following are possible population sets and their fractions,
most likely at the top
French= 0.832 Egyptian= 0.168
Spain= 0.911 Mozabite= 0.089

In you case, based on the two PCA "scatter" plots, the Spanish is
clearly correct.

As i see it, the dots are simply the average from his numbers. Red is the geographical average between Spain and France, which are both high, and the blue is the geographical average between Egyptian and Mozabite. The green is the final weighted average between the red and blue dots.

Well he didn't send me a map since he was home at the time but here is what he said in his email:

The best guess is the spot
on the map, which is in western England at 51.4N 3 W.
The chromosomes are almsot all European with a teensy bit of possible
African.
I remember you name, but can't find any previous file with that name.
Have you sent me 23andme data earlier? If so, what were the results?
There are no pictures attached. I'm at home and they are not working.
Tomorrow.

Tomorrow never came. :(

I don't feel like bugging him about it just for a picture.

That coordinate is near Cardiff, Wales
