I havent taken this test but have heard a lot. I'm thinking about taking it so I'm curious how people from different regions score on here. whoever has taken it so far, I'd like to see their results. It'd be cool. Thanks :)

This is mine. It is quite reasonable compared to some of these I've done. They also are good if you contact them.

It's $49 to have your data processed by them.

Thats not too bad. But doubt it would be as good as giving them your saliva.

It is just mutation of K36 nMonte as many people on forums said. Just standard results are additionally grouped into regions and continents.
But very expensive comparing to other raw data uploads:)

Has anyone else had issues with recieving their raw data orders from this company.
I uploaded my raw data and paid for the ancestry service 1 and half weeks ago and still have not got my results.
I have been emailing them for last 3 days , they keep saying will arrive yesterday but I still have not recieved anything.
I think if this continues I will ask for a refund.

The 12% North Caucasian really caught me off guard. as far as I know I have 0 ancestry from that region and no commercial tests have given me any. the 27% Ukrainian also confused me as I have no recent ancestors from Ukraine also the little bits of Italian, French, Albanian. Also odd.

Not gonna bother, not much point in these tests when 75% of your ancestry is from small Islands or communities that are genetically a little different from their neighbors. I just get stupid results most of the time.

Do you think this is the Typical Argentine admixture?

Erronkari

Do you think this is the Typical Argentine admixture?

Very good question!
Well... probably my genetic information is located in the biggest segment of the population, but not the average...
The average is around 75%/80% Euro and the rest amerindian because in this country the SSA admixture is extremely low, around 1.5 to 3%, not more...
In the central area of Argentina, its divided in thirds:
1- The biggest segment of the population is integrated by individuals who score +80% Euro and -98%.
This is around 40% of the population.
2- The second segments is integrated by individuals who score 98/100% Euro. This is around 30% of the population.
3- Finally the last segment is integrated by clearly mixed people, I'd say -80% Euro people, including castizos, harnizos and mestizos.
Indomestizos are really rare and most of them are just located in the northwest of the country, and ones who can see in the capital city and other big cities are just descendants of imigrants of Northwest area or even descendants of bolivians or peruvians of Andean Area.
Of course we have pure or almost pure amerindians, they are around 2.4% of the population. But they weren't tested in most cases.
I will upload a chart/barplot which show you all this. ;)

https://i.imgur.com/SHLRgnv.png

And here you can see the average % of different cities.

AMBA is Buenos Aires and its outskirts (central-east region)
ROS is Rosario (Santa Fe province - central-east region).
BB is Bahia Blanca (Buenos Aires province - central-east region).
PM is Puerto Madryn (Chubut province - Patagonia).
CR is Comodoro Rivadavia (Chubut province - Patagonia).
ESQ is Esquel (Chubut province - Patagonia).
And Salta is a city of the North-western area of the country.

Oh... I don't know if I answered correctly...
Now I see I am not sure if you were talking about it was common the mostly Euro contribution and native residual or the fact that I have some french ancestry....
May be I did wrong to not ask you that... :picard1:

Well I mean you match most the populations that have moved to Argentina, is it common for people to mix, or do like Italians only marry Italians and Germans only marry Germans? You seem like you would be the average admixture

Oh, I get you! Excellent question!
Well... We can say that may be the first generation of people born here wanted people from the same ancestry to marry, just in the second or third generation that changed.
For that reason is extremelly frequent to find people who descend of italians, spaniards and people of colonial background at the same time.
Even though, it's also quite common to find ones with those ancestries but also german, french, irish, british or even other ancestries.
Indeed I knew people here with more than 6 roots hehe...
Probably the exceptions are some jewish people (we have the biggest ashkenazi jewish community of Latin America and the 7th of the world) and armenian descendants, but the last are changing right now and they now it's normal for them to marry non armenian descendants.
A group which kept almost pure were the volgian-german descendants, but those people changed the last generations, but what makes them different of others is that the majority of them still leave in some rural areas and very little towns of the countryside.
They are very nice people, very humble, conservative and very hardworkers, and they are excellent hosts for tourists or any people who visit them, but they don't like to live in big cities, they feel lost and sad.
I know that because I had some classmates in the university who belong that community, and they always said that until they finished the career, they would come back to their places... Very interesting people... but right now they don't have any problem to marry with people of other roots, and even if they are males or females.

Do you think you are 36% Polish? And no Hungarian at all???

23andme gives me Polish as 2nd possible match under Eastern Europe.
Also I think I get some clustering with Polish regions in the K36nmonte I did with you as well as clustering with Austria and East Germany in the K36 nmonte
But otherwise to get only Polish at 38% and no Hungarian is a bit strange... but they do give 28% Austrian which maybe could be close proxy to Hungarian ... but 38% Polish likely a overestimation of my Slavic component.
I get 34 % Slavic on Dnaland and MyHeritage .
Considering by known ancestry Im half Hungarian and half British it doesnt seem the full result is very precise but very few calculators seem fully precise with overall result.
