It's a big lie and it needs to be put to fucking bed.
I found out today through someone else's post that you can find out your parents results from ancestry dna files.
Turns out both sides of my family have visible East Eurasian Admixture according to Gedmatch which indicates anatolianism.
Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots are not the same.
F*** Greek racism

You guys plot with levantines on gedmatch though not Anatolian Turks; maybe you're not Greeks but you're closer to your neighbours than Anatolians regardless of a few percent of Siberian or w/e. How much EEA anyway?

You guys are basically just local levantines with tiny bit of Turkic; though your dads is pretty low. Even I have like 1% EEA on gedmatch (Amerindian) lol.

A study regarding Turkish genetics in 2014 has utilized the whole genome sequencing of Turkish individuals.[1] Led by Can Alkan at the University of Washington in Seattle, the study has been published in the journal BMC Genomics. The authors of the study show that the genetic variation of the contemporary Turkish population clusters with South European populations, as expected, but also shows signatures of relatively recent contribution from ancestral East Asian populations. They estimate the weights for the migration events predicted to originate from the East Asian branch into current-day Turkey was at 21.7% (see Figure 2 by Alkan et al.).[1]

Well in this forum Turkey is more Mediterranean than Greece and Italy combined so i don't see any problem with that.

Turks and Greek Cypriots come from the same stock though, no?
So if that's the case, both ethnicities would be a mix of Greeks and more local ancient populations which cause the current genetic plot of Cypriots today.
However, Turkish Cypriots perhaps have more recent Anatolian Turkish ancestry (last couple hundred years?) which plot you more Eastern on average, than your Greek neighbours. There was a PCA plot somewhere on TA which confirmed this, anyway.

Many ''Turkish Cypriots'' are actually mainland Turkish settlers on Cyprus. These are not native Cypriots, but Turks.

that plot was created by me. in real life nobody cares about where they plot closest to. In Cyprus you are either Turk or Greek not these autism things like 'Levantine'.

Yes, apparently it is 80% Anatolian settlers infact. The original TCs are dying out slowly.

True, most have fled abroad, especially UK.
There are over 200,000 illegal Turkish settlers in the island.
