Eastern Anatolian Result

As a new member, I appreciate the contribution and opinion about my results.
Both of my parents from Eastern Anatolia but closer side to Central Anatolia. My mothers father is from Harpoot and he told me that their older generation came from Dagestan. However, we are able to see our grandparents details (who was born until 1860`s) from government website and everybody in that list was born in same Eastern anatolian area in Turkey.
According the historical studies I searched earlier, there was a migration from Dagestan are to Harpoot and Kahramanmaras in 1840`s. So I did not know how true is the Dagestan migration relationship with my grandparents so I decide to opt for 23andme. 23andme did not provide anything about Dagestan. However when I upload my data to Ancient Eurasia k6, I receive high Eastern Russian Adygei/Chechen/Kumyk/Lezgin as for top 4 highest. How reliable is the result (pls see below Eurasia K6), any idea? Do I have some Kumyk origin? (According to my surroundings, I do not look like Turkish since I have blonde hair and blue eyes)

I remember my father`s father was able to speak Kurdish some and I am assuming his side has some Kurdish descent. That is why I got higher Kurdish percentage compare to some other Turkic heritages I believe. As I know that my mother`s mother, my mother`s father and my father`s mother does not have any Kurdish decent.

I think you have more Caucasian shift for typical Eastern Anatolian people.

You seem to be an Anatolian and Kurdish/Iranian mix. Not surprising for the region. Blonde hair and blue eyes exist in Eastern Turkey naturally so there is no need to assume different ancestry.

Origin and Migrations of Haplogroup R2

How did you calculate 3.5 Mongoloid and 5.5 South Asian?
I think I have some multiple dominant roots in that West Asia Iran/Iraq/Azerbaijan/Georgia/Dagestan/Armenia and some but less in Central Asia area Turkmen/Uzbek.

We have almost same Mongoloid (mine is Siberia 2.84+0.36 Amerindian+0.10% East Asian) but he has slightly more South Asian (mine is 3.95). Turkmens also have very close Mongoloid (around 19%) and South Asian (11.21%) on Eurogenes K13. I also agree with you about Iranic ancestry btw.

coo results. you seem like turk and kurd mix or something as others pointed out. your south asian isnt particularly high or anything imo. most of it is gedrosian related anyways. you barely get 1% ASI so its not direct south asian. Your east asian is on the lower end but its a bit higher than iranians and kurds iirc.

Paternal R-L23 apparently arose on the eastern side of the Russian Plain where Europe meets Asia. Predominantly Armenian and Turkish, some Iraqi and Iranian.
Maternal R-2 originated in South Asia and Central Asia. However, it also appears to be present at lower levels in the Caucasus, Iran, Anatolia and Europe.

Maybe. Also Western Europeans are overrepresented in the data base. Not too many Turks do 23andme.

I downloaded imputed vcf from DNA Land and open DNA Kit Studio 2.7 program and select VCF converter did not change anything. Once it is completed 1 received 1.1GB .txt files. I zipped it and it became 370mb file. I am trying to update this file to GED Match but I am getting the below error.
'does not contain the correct number of SNPs. The SNP count must be between 50000 and 10000000 SNPs.
Your file had 43805192 SNPs.'

Any idea?

Instead of using imputed vcf(460mb), I downloaded and used imported vcf(6mb). And then convert that, it worked. Result is almost same. Is that what it supposed to be? How can I verify that is V3 version?
Overall; Mongoloid (East Asian) increased around 0.05, so my Turkic results go up slightly % :cool:
