Anatolian Turks are a cross between Aegean island Greeks and Turkmens.

Question is what are Aegean islanders? What is the degree of genetic continuity of those islander populations?

Anatolian Turks are a cross between Aegean island Greeks and Turkmens.
The Oghuz Turks of 1070-1200 were probably ca. 30% Mongoloid if we assume Western Turks are about half Oghuz half native. I'm sure modern Turkmenistan changed significantly after the Mongol and Timur invasions (after 1220).
