Pretty hilarious. Put down your grandparents ethnicity and it will "predict" what you are. You don't need an account for this, its for people who haven't tested who want to predict their eventual scores. I did one for someone fully British, then fully Serb and, well. You can press "predict again" and it'll also give you alternative predictions.

The Eastern euro averaged with Tons of AJ is the result of terrible and frankly, slight irresponsibility on the part of 23. They know better, but they want people to buy kits with the promise they “might be exotic”. 23 has to at the least maybe add more explanation. If something is not corrected soon, they need to be told this. Fire up those emails, fellas!

I put in Netherlands for my maternal grandparents, as South Dutch is my mom's closest match in Eurogenes oracles. So, the predicted result is not bad for me, in alignment with my actual result, but with the Ashkenazi bonus.

I was hoping it would be something like, if you don't know one of your parent's parent's ancestry, you could enter the three you know and it would guess what the other might be, based on your DNA results. Why doesn't any calculator do that?

Much of their customer base which enters in east euro locations for their grandparents is in fact Ashkenazi. And given that their customer base isn't about to drastically change, the predictions are probably correct.

I know 23 has a large Ashkenazi and AJ-American clientele and that’s a huge reason for this. But most “lay” people don’t factor that in. It’s the misinformation about pop genetics that is a concern. That’s it. Nothing to do with the accuracy of the tool in comparison to clientele.

Is not just mildly useful, is very useful. You type your close 4-Oracle from GEDmatch and you know everything right there based on 23andme database.
