It makes sense that East Baltids are morphologically the most European, because indigenous European admixture peaks in the Eastern Baltic region (https://bga101.blogspot.com/2012/04/so-whos-most-european-of-us-all.html):


So who's the most (indigenous) European of us all?

Basically, the first map below reveals the answer. It shows the spread of a European specific cluster from a global-wide ADMIXTURE analysis at K=8 (eight ancestral populations assumed), which I call "North European". Thus, genetically, the most European populations are found around the Baltic Sea, and in particular in the East Baltic region. In my genome collection, samples from Lithuania clearly and consistently score the highest percentages in ADMIXTURE clusters specific to Europe. However, I suspect that if I had Latvians with no known foreign ancestry going back more than four generations, they'd come out the "most European". Hopefully we can test that in the near future.

I disgree to some extent. Basically Europeans are a mixture of European hunter gatherers, Neolithic farmers and Bronze Age Steppe invaders. All Europeans have all those admixtures. Western and eastern hunter gatherers were the first dwellers, but I think that it is too straightforward to say that only HG admixture is European. Some Asian admixture exists in northeast, some Aftican in southwest and some later Middle East in Mediterranean.
