General Veikko Koppinen

Koppinen wrote books on military tactics, and also fiction and poetry. He created the doctrine on Finnish guerrilla warfare. Famous for the concept "exploding emptiness", which he poetically described thus: Emptiness cannot be fought, it can not be fired with a cannon, or a machine gun, and it can not be bombarded with rockets. Explosive emptiness is an injustice and deceit to the enemy.

Somewhat yes. Koppinen was very active outdoors person. He would invent and develop different kind of survival gear, which he would then test in action. His daughter has described, how when she was a little girl, her father would take her in ski trips lasting several days, pulling her in a sledge behind him; testing that gear he had developed. As every arctic Explorer knows, pulling a sledge in snow, is very hard work, so no wonder he has developed gaunt look.

However, a yet closer look is Gagarin. Short snubbed nose, but little bit higher nose bridge.
