User PAGANE and his family is from there. they are slightly pulled towards Anatolia or Caucasus, like Moldavians and Gagauzes

PAGANE has roots from either Eastern Thrace or NW Anatolia(Yes there were a Bulgarian community). She is not only from Varna as far as i remember.

The problem is, after the Ottomans, the native population of Eastern Bulgaria disappeared(transformed into today's Balkan Turks). When the Bulgarian government took back these lands, they resettled Orthodox Bulgarians from Western Bulgaria to the East. Today there is no significant difference between West and East. But former Eastern Bulgarians had slightly different genetic than the West, i suppose.
