It would be really awesome because i have mixed hungarians in my family, and many of my relatives and even my dad spoke fluent hungarian. some of my mixed hungarian relatives from voivodina got themselfes the hungarian citizenship. now they have dual.

I get Poland, and I have no known Polish ancestors back to the 1850's, so I am not sure how reliable this system is. That said, they did assign me Germany and Hungary, which is correct.

It is latest beta update but I always a little hungarian before too. And always Budapest and that other region.

Yep, I get Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Masovian Voivodeship, and Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Seems a lot of us on here, Hungarians, and also Balkan folks, get something in Poland.

It seems that majority of East Euros get regions in Poland - so do I and I have no Polish ancestry as well (as far as I know).

On 23andme for Eastern Europe I get Hungarian Budapest and various regions in Poland also .
Same thing I dont know of any reported Polish ancestry in my family , although I am getting Polish matches on 23and me and also Myheritage.

maybe those are the parts of Hungary with a lot of Gypsies, and they are matching you with them

It's not the most Gypsy region in Hungary but it has quite a lot of them. Reason why I think you're part Hungarian is because most of South Slavs don't score Hungary, especially not specific region outside of Budapest and because most of European admixture in Gypsies is predominately Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian and Albanian according to study I read year or two ago.

I only show a "possible match" in Budapest; I would have thought that I had more Hungarian ancestors/relatives in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg...

Actually all of the Hungarian (Magyar) matches I get are on my mom's (Slovak) side anyway... as usual, I don't expect much accuracy from any of these things...!

I only have Budapest too.. And both of my parents are from here, neither of them born in budapest
