Lviv
"Lviv (Ukrainian: Львів [lʲwiu̯] (listen); Polish: Lwów [lvuf] (listen): Russian: Львов, romanized: Lvov [lʲvof]; German: Lemberg; Latin: Leopolis; see also other names) is the largest city in western Ukraine and the seventh-largest city in the country overall, with a population of 724,713 as of January 2019. Lviv is one of the main cultural centres of Ukraine. Named in honour of Leo, the eldest son of Daniel, King of Ruthenia, it was the capital of the Kingdom of Galicia–Volhynia (also called the Kingdom of Ruthenia)[2] from 1272 to 1349, when it was conquered by King Casimir III the Great who then became known as the King of Poland and Ruthenia. From 1434, it was the regional capital of the Ruthenian Voivodeship in the Kingdom of Poland. In 1772, after the First Partition of Poland, the city became the capital of the Habsburg Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria. In 1918, for a short time, it was the capital of the West Ukrainian People's Republic. Between the wars, the city was the centre of the Lwów Voivodeship in the Second Polish Republic."
Buchach
"Buchach (Ukrainian: Бучач; Polish: Buczacz; Yiddish: בעטשאָטש, romanized: Betshotsh.or ביטשאטש (Bitshtosh); Hebrew: בוצ'אץ' Buch'ach; Turkish: Bucaş) is a town located on the Strypa River (a tributary of the Dniester) in Ternopil Oblast (province) of Western Ukraine. It is the administrative center of the Buchach Raion, and rests 135 kilometres (84 miles) south east of Lviv, in the historic region of Halychyna (Galicia). Prior to 1939, the city was located in Poland and Austro-Hungary. The estimated population was around 12,500, according to the 2001 Ukrainian census."

Lol Jewish Cossacks were a rare and brief phenomenon. That's why there is an article on them. It's cool piece of history because it goes against the rest of it. As for the painting, assuming it's not the result of the painter's privilege, best guess is that it's a brush stolen from a Jewish household.
