Thanks! I kind of thought the same...but I was confused that baltids are not supposed to have dark pigmentation. Also my skin tans easily and I tend to have hair on my face and body.

I am Russian, actually... Baltid phenotype is one of the most common here.
Apart from Russian ancestors I have Ukranian, Hungarian, Polish and Buryat.

Yes, that's interesting! I think that my face is not 100% typical for Russians, but it's quite normal (except for the pigmentation). But I am hardly ever perceived as a Russian person when I am abroad (unless I talk). People even often stop me on the streets, ask for directions, etc. in different countries.

I wouldn't have guessed your ethnicity correctly if you asked me to though. Honestly, I can imagine that if said you were from the Balkans, Laag and the other Russian users would have said you don't pass as an ethnic Russian :lol:

I can't say that I am really atypical for my country as we have many different types of faces and combinations here.
But sometimes people here think that I have some other origins except for the Russian one (Tatar, Jewish, Central Asian, Armenian and so on). The guesses are quite random and not based on some professional knowledge or experience, I suppose ))

But, for example, once I was on an excursion in Bulgaria with a group of other Russians. When the tourist guide saw me, she asked if everyone on a bus understood Russian ))
When I worked in Turkey, people often spoke to me in Turkish (except for the ones who work in the tourist industry and are really familiar with the Russians).
I was also spoken to in French in several countries and so on.
