I thought he was more eastern or Iranian looking. Where in Spain does he best though?

You can find specimens like him im every corner of Spain. Not the most common type but exists.

Odd, because he looks very middle eastern to me, more in the eastern part of it like Iran or Mesopotamia but wouldn't stick out in the Levant.

Dinarid. Pass easily in Southern Europe, wouldn't stand out in a crowd of these countries.

Armenoid mainly...Wouldn't guess as European. First guess: Armenia, Iraq, but can pass in Levant too as Toppo notes.

He looks pretty West Asian to me as well. But, if he had to be placed in Europe, he may pass in Sicily or some Greek island.

He is not a typical North African (Saharid) or stereotypical Gulf Arab, he is a fully Caucasoid West Asian, and many non-Euro Caucasoids pass in Southern Europe.

By the way, what is an Assyrian? an Iraki?

They're one of the first Christians and still among the few peoples in the world who speak Aramaic. They are indigenous to, and a minority in, northern Iraq and southeastern Turkey, with some later migrating to northwestern Iran and northeastern Syria in history. They predate Iraqis and are not synonymous with them, nor are they homogeneous with Iraqi Arabs. Modern Assyrians are descendants of ancient Assyrians, Akkadians and as well as Babylonians, to some degree. Here is how they cluster:
