hmmm..atlanto-meds have longer faces and more sharp features while pontids have less angles and softer features. this is how i see it.

Pontid is Atlanto-Med with Iranic facial features. Most consider this phenotype to be from Scythians. A true western Atlanto-med will only resemble a Pontid in stature but facial features for Pontid will be Eastern.

Most of the people who get classified as Pontid on here are just regular Med. Which exists all over the Black Sea coast and obviously East Mediterranean.

Coon's atlanto-med examples are almost identical to cordeds, whereas these persons classified as pontid are not so much. That is another difference.
