Donald Trump became a Turk this morning.

The United States began withdrawing American troops from Syria’s border with Turkey today, in the clearest sign yet that the Trump administration is washing its hands of an explosive situation between the Turkish military and U.S.-allied Kurdish fighters.

The Trump White House unceremoniously dropped a shocking foreign policy announcement: the United States would now endorse a Turkish military operation in northern Syria that's likely to wipe out previously American-backed Kurdish forces in the region.

Turkey will be deploying troops to Syria—and there just so happens to be a Trump Tower in Istanbul.

Just lol. Trump and his cronies were supporting the age old policies in Syria that Obama was doing by supporting Islamist terrorist in Syria and masquerading them as "freedom fighters" just for Israel and Saudi Arabia to get their way in the middle east against Iran and Hezbullah which had failed miserably. Trump pretty much took a dump on all of his base when he once stated that he would get the US out of middle eastern affairs during his campaign. His supposed impeachment by democrats is nothing more than a smokescreen for both the democrats and the blood-crazed republicans in trying to get the US into war against Iran and it's allies.

Trump has become a Turk. Erdogan gave Trump a reach-around and now Trump endorses the Turkish military operation in northern Syria.

He flip-flops on many things, and I'm mostly annoyed with his supporters that still love and support him even though he barely had given anything to make their lives easier. The good thing on this whole thing is that America no longer is supporting it's Kurdish puppets of Syria and instead allowing the Turks to curbing up these terrorists which would perhaps enabling the many millions of Syrians to migrate back to their homeland and establish safe areas for them.

Donald Trump has threatened to "totally destroy and obliterate" Turkey's economy if the country does anything that he does not like in Syria, amid criticism from Republicans over new US policy allowing the Turkish military to take over in the war-torn country.

Will never happen. The war hawk republicans wouldn't allow him to do anything that's against their interests. Sheldon Adelson, Paul Singer and the other guy(I forgot his name) are Trump's top contributors, and they wish to see war against Iran on Israel's behalf. They're right wing Zionists who are in bed with the neocons. Come on.

Trump plays both sides and he can't be trusted. In the end, the only thing Trump cares about is a Trump Hotel "in stin polis” / Istanbul

Trump already had a chance to bombard the fuck out of Iran, and chose not to. If that was Killary or Obama, it would have been a whole other situation right now.

The thing is, people criticise the US for bringing troops into countries, and now criticise when they are taking them out. They can't win.

Give up on that Zionist rubbish will ya.

7abiby, that's a fact. Go search on people like Sheldon Adelson and others who have a reputation in funding politicians who share their goals and values. Most American Jews are actually against the war in the middle east as they did back in the Iraq war, so I'm not saying that every Jew is part of this and so on. What I'm saying is that the Zionist lobbying groups are very powerful in the US, and Trump is no exception to the rule. He tore up the Iran deal that was in place under the Obama administration on Adelson's behalf, and now that fatass warhawk, Pompeo, is threatening Iran for war and so on. Please, stop being so naive into thinking that Trump is some-kind of a godly savior to save us mortals when in reality he is no different from Hilary and other politicians. Americans are a people that unconsciously see politicians from democratic and republican parties as sports players belonging to different teams. As one Roman once guy said "Give them bread and circuses and they will never revolt". The same's true in many western nations as well.

Right on brother! Extremely sick. This is exactly why the American's cannot leave their Kurdish Allies. The Turks want to commit more mass genocide.

Anyway, I do hope the Syrian Arab Army would invade the North-Eastern part of Syria and kick the YPG Kurdish terrorists where they were ethnically cleansing the native Arabs, Assyrians and the Turkmen from their villages and cities.

For as long as the US and it's allies in the middle east like Saudi Arabia and in the western world like Canada, major European countries(UK, France, Germany and so on) keep on meddling with middle eastern affairs and so on.

Let's be honest-- the USA is playing both sides.

The USA gives Turkey the Kurds on a plate while making Greece its new foothold in Europe.

The United States and Greece have signed an updated defense-cooperation pact, a move Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said was not aimed against any one nation in the region, including Turkey.

Nevertheless, in remarks made during his visit to Athens on October 5. Pompeo cited "malign" Russian influence on NATO ally Greece and its neighbors and criticized Iran and China.

“We are opening a new chapter in our history,” the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, told Pompeo. “Our relationship has truly never been as strong as today.”

No US secretary of state has spent as much time in Greece in years.

The trip partly reflects the cooling in ties with Ankara under the unpredictable stewardship of president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Talk of the US removing military installations from Turkey has been muted. Greek-US relations have warmed as tensions have risen in the eastern Mediterranean between Cyprus and Turkey over offshore gas rights.

But in substance, as much as feel, analysts say Pompeo’s tour also highlights the choice the Orthodox nation has made to align its interests with Washington at a time when Greece, Cyprus and Israel have also formed a tripartite energy alliance, to the delight of the Trump White House.

“The time when many Greeks wanted to minimise the US military footprint in their country is well and truly over,” said international relations professor Aristotle Tziampiris at the University of Piraeus. “What we are witnessing is a dramatic improvement in ties especially on the military, energy and political fronts. For Greek standards this is happening at the speed of light.”

He's been trying to do that for two years now, or longer. It's more like a tug of war by now, if he did the opposite, they would still bitch about meddling in others affairs, being responsible for innocent deaths, and wasting money on military instead of immigration reform.

The US troops in Syria were only a thin cordon between the Kurds and Turkey, they were not supposed to do anything but keep them from fragging each others.

I think it's better to let Erdogan and Assad work things out for themselves.
