Tonino Picula was a classmate of my mother in Šibenik. He was worst student out there, but he is pretty good politican as matter of fact. :D

You also posted bad quality pics. Valter Flego for example:

Resler seems German name?

Yes and he has no recent German ancestry. Such surnames are usual among Croats in Zagreb.

All fit here easily.

Aside from Croats having a higher proportion of light traits, what would you say are the main differences between Croats and Bulgarians?

Standard Yugo look in all, except this guy:

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/cb/Tonino_Picula_MEP.jpg/800px-Tonino_Picula_MEP.jpg

He looks Northern Italian. Never seen a Serb with that look! His surname is also Romance in origin...

I used to think they are a little lighter than us because of unsynchronized criterion of various authors. Now, that I conducted surveys on this matter, I think we, especially our women, are a little lighter.
Phenotypically Bulgarians have more Pontids and Baltids and Croats more Gracile Meds and pure Dinarids. The rest is pretty similar.

Why wouldn't Croats be lighter than Bulgarians, given how much closer to Central Europe and how much further from Turkey they are?

Northern Croats are lighter than Bulgarians, but what living next to Turkey means? Bulgarians lived in these lands 1000 years before the Turks appeared

Geography isn't everything. They may score less Mediterranean genetically but this doesn't mean they are in overall lighter. I said it before - Dinarics are pretty brunette in pigmentation.
Also, their women have a higher rate of pure brown eyes than both Bulgarian and Italian ones (Italian ladies have more dark-mixed/hazel eyes though):

Besides, Turkey is the one that acquired Balkan admixture through slave trading, not the opposite. Nor are Turks that dark, as you know.

Don't listen to that OWD. Croats are significantly lighter than Bulgarians to everyone except to him. Bulgarians are even darker than Serbs.

Bulgaria is surely somewhat more Southern and Eastern shifted than Croatia, which by contrast has more Germanic and Slavic and less Paleobalkan and Neolithic West Asian admixture than Bulgaria.

Actually, The Blade is generally a very sensible, reasonable and thoughtful poster, but this claim that Bulgarians are lighter than Croats I do find rather bizarre. It reminds me of when Bloody/debian used to claim that French people and Slovenes were lighter than Brits.

You keep with your bullshit but I'll ignore it, since I'm obviously wiser and don't have your energy to spit on others... Fuck off and have a nice day, bitch! (you deserved it already)
You have a frustration towards every other Balkan nation, especially Serbs.
Generally I empathize with your ethnicity for what Serbs did to you but you make me defend them on various occasions with your mania...

I will open thread to expose your OWD. You are laughable troll darkwashing Croats to cure your complex Bulgarians are darkest Slavs along with their Macedonian brothers, and most Paleo-Balkan admixed.

Your ''thread'' will mean nothing, as it will be cherrypicked.
You are the slavo-obsessed one, Bulgarians don't care that much about it.
You lowered yourself to Laag's level already.

No I didn't. And I am proud of our Slavic blood, not my problem you are more Thracian. And I never claim ridiculous things or try to whiten my ethnicity.
But I won't allow darker ethnic groups to darkwash us.

Well, not Kurdish area, of course.
Yes, Turks look more West Asian than Greeks but much of these are lighter and robust Georgian-like types (not the darker and shorter Armenian-like ones).

I wouldn't say so but everyone has an opinion.
Both have more types passable in Europe than Armenians do by my notions.

It reminds me of when Bloody/debian used to claim that French people and Slovenes were lighter than Brits.
French are both darker-haired and darker-eyed than the English (the second quite visibly) but the Irish have a high rate of people with brown to dark hair and light eyes, so they scored as lighter-eyed but less blond than the French. It's supported by studies, too.
Slovenes are obviously less light-eyed than English or Irish but in terms of blondism I'm sure they surpass the Irish (need statistics to tell about Slovenia-England blondism comparison).
