Most Romanian blondes are some form of East Baltid, not a great type imo.

Shut up, and no way. Do they have concave noses, wide faces, or prominent malars?

Savolaxid:

Pale to fair skin, straight, dirty blonde or brown hair, often light eyes. Medium height, mildly macroskelic, endomorph. Mildly brachycephalic, mildly hypsicranic. Prominent malars and relatively flat, wide face, short jaw. Mildly leptorrhine, concave, snub-nose. Forehead low, sloping. Sometimes slanted eyes. Compared to Tavastid, shorter, narrower- and smaller-headed, and flatter-faced.

Tavastid:

Pale skin, straight, usually blonde hair, light eyes. Rather tall, mildly macroskelic, endomorph to mesomorph. Brachycephalic, mildly hypsicranic, rather large-headed, but less than Borreby. (Mildly) leptorrhine, concave snub-nose. Moderately thin lips, weak, rounded chin, face relatively flat and squarish, forehead low. Head and body larger, jaw wider, malars more prominent than in other East Europids.

Below are photos of the members of the Romanian national women's volleyball team (https://www.cev.eu/Competition-Area/CompetitionTeamDetails.aspx?TeamID=10867&ID=1053) (excluding two black members) grouped by nose length and nose shape. Out of the members in the "Most short or concave nose" group, maybe the first, fourth, or last one could pass as Finnish, but there's no way "Most Romanian blondes are some form of East Baltid".

https://i.imgur.com/D3f1Puh.jpg

Even the morph on the right looks nothing like East Baltid (even though it does have the lowest facial index and highest canthal tilt):

https://i.imgur.com/5ZkpYOq.jpg

Out of the average morphs of Finnic and Romanian volleyball teams below, the Romanian morph has by far the narrowest face:

Romania is very diverse, and even the Romanian national teams of various sports look as if originating from different countries. You've done a great analysis, sadly it's useless.

Believe me when I say, most Romanian blondes look East Slavic (mostly East Baltids). They are confined to a certain region of Romania (an inverted triangle with the base on the Northern border of Romania). Personally I'm not happy with the type, I would have wanted something else - I'm just being honest here.

Yes Romanian East Baltids won't have typical noses, because they get some Dinarid traits.

IMO blondes in Romania are East Baltids, Norids, West Baltids, Subnordids - in the order of frequency (Subnordids are already rare).

Most Romanians are between Alpine, Med and Dinaric types. Pale skin, blonde hair and blue/light eyes are very rare among Romanians. These traits are more typical for East Baltic type than for Med or Dinaric.

I thought "ochi oblici" (oblique eyes) meant just eyes that are slanted inwards, but based on the images below, it might mean either eyes where the upper eyelid is slanted outwards or eyes with a medial upper eyelid fold:

Romania is balkanic too(theres barely any difference between Bulgaria or Ukraine anyway), but its just one of the many identities that we have, far more common is moldovean, ardelean, oltean...
On top of this yugoslavs(serbs, bosnians , croats...) have really branded this term in the past decades with their 'balkan wars'

I said in the past decades, not century, its obvious to what wars i meant , which you yugos have branded this term to, anyway i have never denied Romania not being balkan, just that we have a lot more used terms and influences, unlike some of our balkanic 'brothers' that if you remove their religion('catholicism') they remain just ... balkan.
Now, excuse me, i go enjoy this 'non-balkanic' refined food that Croatia culture has exported.

Ćevapčići are pure Bosnian food, not Croatian.
I like them a lot.

You're just projecting, because to me being balkan is not an insult, you can call me balkan all day, i have no 'trauma' associated with it.
They may have been originally bosnian(in reality they are just grilled meat common throughout whole balkans and even beyond, so that makes no sense), but these ones i've posted are from Croatia and from what i've seen quite a national dish i may add.I wonder what else have croats appropiated or how long would it take me to find a turbofolk song among them...

Balkan food (ćevapi, burek) are really popular in Croatia, I consume it almost daily (except it should be avoided too much because it's full of fat :D)
But it's not really autochtonous. In my city all Čevapi restaurants are mostly owned by Bosniaks, and Burek places by Albanians.

Most famous Burek shop close to my house is owned by Albanian brothers :thumb001:

I actually feel more Balkan now than before....
Nothing wrong with Balkan :thumb001:

Let's be real, Romania is hard to classify.
I can agree that it has Balkanic influence, but not that it's solely Balkanic.

Yes, same, no transilvanean would introduce himself as balkanite when he lives inside the carpathians and has so many other terms to use, but who knows what balkans means will know that Romania and Transilvany are also part of the balkanic sphere of influence and history, and this is pretty much how it is, Romania ain't just 'another balkan country' that only exists in this context.
On top of this Transilvany looks far more central euro and better looking than any other balkanic country, incomparable with something like Bulgaria...that is if we exclude the primitive szekely part(not that anyone visits that part anyway)

Well, I spent lot of time in Transylvania and seen almost everything there (including Szekely Land) and the feeling is more Balkan than Central European (mountanious, remote, culturally/ethnically mixed).
It has quite different vibe to Hungary, for example.

Balkan has nothing to do with any of that, it just denotes the relationship and therefore culture that happened between the balkanic peninsula countries starting many centuries ago, else by this logic switzerland will also become balkanic in a decade or two(maybe your definition of balkanic is that of a chaotic jungle?)

There is nothing ethnically mixed inside Transilvany, like 85% are ethnic romanians and the biggest chunk of szekelies live in their own part and Hungary outside Budapest looks like a plain, boring eastern european country, even Budapest has this vibe(central europe anyway has no sense and should be restrained just to german countries,as if Poland or Slovakia feel anything close to Austria or Switzerland or look closer to Austria than a city like Sibiu or Brasov)

Transylvania is wild, bears, wolves....no such thing in Hungary, Czech Rep. or Germany. Nature is much more intense there, like in Balkans.
It also feel kinda isolated.

Yes it visibly mixed, you have Gothic Cathedrals and Orthodox Churches close by. Architecture is very mixed.
My favorite Transylvanian town is Segesvar/Sighisoara which has German like citadel and large Orthodox church in Byzantine style also.

Not even scholars agree what is Balkanic and what is not. I mean, there is no real comprehensive definition of the term, which is a "variable" one depending on the circumstances is used.

To me Balkans just means that geographically we are in the southeast of Europe, and that we have similar traditions to other Balkan countries. That's why I consider myself balkanite.

I have never identified more with any other term, especially not central European.

From a genetic standpoint this split doesn't make much sense either.

Poles, who would be the largest group in East Central Europe do not cluster with the rest of the group (Czechs, Slovaks, Slovenes, Hungarians). Poles cluster with Belorussians and Western Ukrainians.

Slovenes ? Last time I checked Slovenia is ex-Yugoslav country just like Croatia.
Western Poles cluster pretty close to Czechs, East Germans and Sorbs.

Average Romanian girl doesn't have such cheekbones. Average Romanian girl has soft Alpine features while Komi or Mari girls on average very CM looking more robust and sharper.
