Berlusconi will not show up in court on Monday because of previous engagements, it was announced.
His lawyers said he will instead attend a meeting with the country's president, Giorgio Napolitano.
Berlusconi has been accused of using sexual services provided by a minor, and of corruption.
The first case concerns accusations that the Italian prime minister had sex with a minor Moroccan girl, and that he abused his official position when he in May 2010 called police asking them to set the girl free after she was arrested on theft charges.
The second case concerns allegations that Berlusconi paid his former British lawyer David Mills USD 600,000 in bribes in order to give false testimony in a case conducted in the 1990s.
Berlusconi is facing more charges in a separate case: for tax evasion related to acquisition of broadcasting rights for his Mediaset television network.
