It has FINALLY recognized my Aquitaine heritage! I'm so happy, for over a year it has said I am purely German. I take it most people who have French ancestry get Parisian?

Interesting. You know why ? Parisian region is full of "provinciaux" (provincials, from other regions that Ile-de-France), that could explain why you get Paris.
I will get Rhone-Alpes myself, since my father is savoisian (and maybe some peripherical regions as Burgundy).

I assume for a similar reason why people with Anglo ancestry generally get London as their top match. What Swiss regions do you get? I get Grisons, but have no idea if the match is Swiss German, Italian, or Romansh.

I haven't taken the test yet but my father has distant Romansh. He is also 1/4 Aostan.
Grisons is a strange region, very eastern, bordering Austria with more official languages than other cantons.
