I've seen today on my GEDmatch list that I have a Vietnamese-Chinese cousin with high cM in total. After my first cousin on my mother side he is the second on the list. Is this a real thing or just a false cousin?

Maybe there is an outside chance of 200 years to the common ancestor? I'm just making that up, I really have no idea what the max distance is at 66 cM threshold?

Propably fake. Had the same problem with my fathers match. If you have other family members on Gedmatch I'd suggest you to check if theyre sharing SNPs with this dude. I dont know what its called, but look with which company he tested. If its some Chinese 23andme knockoff it should be fake. Gedmatch adressed this somewhere.

Really depends if its a cousin or direct line. 66 cM is not very close.

Never seen an asiatic result. The distances between populations are pretty huge and remind me (in Africa it's even more).
